Is there any motivation for Hard Mode Crotas End?
Trying to find purpose/motivation for this hard mode raid and I can't really. Other than having fun I see no purpose to this raids hard mode.
We will only gain mediocre primaries that we obviously don't need if we beat hard mode without them.
No special exotics
No armor
No increase in materials
I struggle to grasp the reasoning behind hard mode with this raid. All we need to do is wait until the tower sales better gear in HOW's.

I'm with you on that one. Never been a big fan of the crota raid anyway. But I kinda want that HC, I really need a nice new legendary HC. If all goes good I get it first time and I never have to do it again! Or it turns out to be so much more fun than normal, but I doubt it...

Im with you i have zero interest in playing HM, ill play my normal and vog as doing the hard mode does not guarantee me i wont get get the same weapons i already earned. If i have learnt anything from vog i am not about to play hm 50 times or more before getting something decent

There are increased chances are getting the Raid Helmets for each class, along with getting double drops for Hard Mode if you play it first each week after the reset, so you get more materials/week overall. Plus getting the raid Primary Weapons. Word of Crota, I must have :-)

Maybe. Maybe not. I made the same point you did a few weeks ago in a different thread. But what else is there to do until House of Wolves? Maybe you get something you like along the way. Maybe not. Still, it's something to do until March.

The only reason they are bringing out hard mode is to bridge the gap between TDB and HOW. Its obvious from a quick scan of the forums that alot of Destiny players are getting frustrated at this that and the other. This just keeps people quiet for a couple of days and then once they have grinded hard mode they will be back moaning until HOW is released. Bungie really give no flying -blam!-s about any of the gamers playing Destiny. Its been written for ages and the whole game (including all future DLC's) is already written and all they gotta think about is keeping people playing long enough to buy the next DLC. £50 game when released - Already in profit... £20 per DLC that gets released and probably more for the "Comet" Expansion. (Bearing in mind ITS ALREADY IN THE GAME WE PAID £50 FOR) = Bungie being greedy -blam!-ers
