How many tries did it take you to get husk of the pit?

Titan maybe 20. Warlock maybe 10. Hunter only took one time. First enemy killed on patrol. I restarted my hunter and the very first enemy I saw was a Blade Knight and ran up to a group shooting him. I got HotP and I laughed and laughed and laughed.

I got at least 20 of them... This was before I knew they could become nechrochasm, so naturally I dismantled them all, since husk of the pit sucks. After playing for a longer time and realizing that they were upgradeable to legendary and exotic versions, I wasn't upset, since the things dropped like candy for me... About 150 hours later I finally got another one hahahaha

Many guardians did tell me that I would never succeed in Killing that Bullet sponge bastard. But I did. I brought the Queen of the Reef Urzoks head, she rewarded me the Necrochasm and some alone time with her in her private cabin. It was awkward due to me being an Exo.

I didn't ever [i]really try.[/i] I'm not even level 2 with Eris. I just played patrol on Earth and the Moon, doing my weekly mat farming/public event hunting. The first husk landed maybe 2 weeks ago. I've gotten 2 more since. I know that's probably not what you want to hear, but maybe my approach will help you?
