With quite a bit of feedback, insight and a completion under my belt, 3/4 of which I was a level 31, I've decided to close this thread. If you wish to read the original post, it's in the spoiler.
Thanks for the comments, good luck guardians!
Edit:
1. 31s will only deal 40% less damage to a level 33 and recieve 40% more. While 32s are at 30% in either direction. 10% isn't much.
2. Level 30s were the first to defeat Crota's End on normal, with a single 31 swordweilder... using, you guessed it, 1 and 2 level below the enemy characters. Likewise with level 32s and 31s against a level 33... Meaning they too were dealing 40% less and getting 40% more damage....
3. A players skill isn't rated by any one set of rules. A level 31 could be a fantastic player, one who is cautious, active, effective and a great communicator while a 32 can be a complete noob who hasn't ever done it legit and is a terrible player, communicator and the like.
If you have any real reasons that I didn't just beat with a hammer, lemme hear em.
I'll be taking my level 31 through hard mode today! Good luck Guardians!
Edit: added the single 31 to the post, obviously he was still a level below and dealt 30% less instead of 0% less...
Edit 2: My point is that a level 30 and below character is the only one who should absolutely NOT attempt this raid.
Edit 3: Math was a rough, but close, estimate. Specifics are still unconfirmed to me but are generally accepted values.
Final Edit: Let the story be told! 31s have made it through!!!

9 답변I dont think anyone said a 31 can't do the raid....just no one is gonna take them on their first try.....also 30s were the first to beat it out of necessity as there were no ways to be max level on launch.....everyone has had the chance to get to level 32 by now so stop expecting to be carried.

1 답변I've taken some 29s with me before, so even a 30 could do it. Just makes it more difficult. Not like this raid is hard. If you can keep moving, it's quite simple. VoG required a greater deal of teamwork, with all the mechanics included.

작성자: BlueSKAdo 1/21/2015 5:29:21 PMTechincally the difference is more than 10% due to the mathematics involved in percentages but go ahead and try with a 31 I have a 32 and 2 31s one needs 2 upgrades for 32, will I be running my 31s? No, I'll run my 32 then upgrade my 31 to 32, because I personally do not want to be a detriment towards my teammates, then only to run the raid on normal run with my 31 till they achieve 32. Thats all because I don't want to be carried so I say this if it you attempt it as a 31 do it with only 31s otherwise in my open and honest opinion you are nothing but some punk who got carried not a member of a team just some random who foubd a group with talented enough and kind enough players to carry some scrub through the rites

3 답변I just don't feel like it still being 31, the labouring, getting blamed for every whipe and probably causing alot of them... Rather level up and go at it. Normal crota still has alot to offer me as wel, yeah talking bout you blackhammer and hunter chest!

4 답변My warlock and hunter have full raid gear from helmet to boots and several duplicates yet my titan that has raided every week from dlc launch cant get the chest peice or helmet to hit 32 hes running raid boots, iron banner gauntlets and exotic head or chest. Its total crap. So yeah ill be taking one 31 in this week.

Look, Crotas End has been good to us. Drops are more lenient. By this point, it's not about just having an Exotic, now it's picking the right one for you. No more Helm only in Hard mode unlike in VoG Hard. Everyone had the chance at the IceBreaker. If you and your friends wanna try it at 31 go on ahead. I'm a 31 and I'm being patient until I get to 32, I'm not expecting anyone to carry me, I'm not at my best yet, especially with PUGs, and especially within the first week of CE Hard.

Even if it was only 10% --which it is not -- that could be the difference of barely living or being one shot. Also, if it's like VOG there'll be no rez. My clan plans on going in at 31 but we have the expectation we won't get far. For PUGs it's probably best to go at 32 or find people who don't mind, simple as that. No need to make a big deal out of it.

작성자: GUILTYOFWINNING 1/21/2015 4:42:30 PMnice try but no. Especially for the first few weeks of the raid, no one will want to carry anyone when they are still trying things out for themselves. But on your numbers there I always heard from level 31 to 32 it was an increase of 50% in damage, so now the enemy is 33 and we are 1 and 2 levels below now its only 10% between levels?

작성자: eridian 1/21/2015 4:39:22 PMHard mode is, well HARD though. Just because the level differences are the same, does not mean it will be that easy. The enemies are more numerous and stronger as well. And 10% is a LOT of dmg. It sounds small, but when you actually start factoring in DPS it is a pretty large increase/decrease, plus, 10% is completely wrong too. Not to mention, just because something can be done, does not mean it is a good idea.
