Hey guys, thought it would be funny to put together a thread where we could put in our experiences as noobs in Destiny.
I'll start. Remember when you got the Stranger's Rifle, and were like, "OMG THIS WEAPON IS SO OP!"

Wondering how other players were in my game and then wondering where they'd gone as they vanished...that was early on in the game til I realised what was going on! Also the first time I did a weekly, I just assumed other guardians would join me eventually!

Sadly I had the biggest Noob moment recently in the Vault of Glass on hard. Keep in mind the last time I did vault was months ago. Got invited last minute to help out a fellow group of guardians. Our 2nd run at Aetheon I jump to the middle platform inside the bubble and whip out my rocket launcher like OH YA AETHEON SAY MY NAME BITCH SAY MY........-blam!- :( Needless to say I ended up getting the Mythoclast so it was sweet victory In the end!

1 답변I also remember my first public event on the steps in Cosmo. Sky went dark and I was like "da ef is wrong with my brightness." I was looking around and saw guardians coming my way. Next thing you know the extraction beacon drops on me and I'm dead. Lesson learned, move....

I thought that the Story and Sub-Story mission markers on the Director Map were indications of whether or not you aced the mission. So I tried to beat each level on the hardest difficulty without dying and under a certain time limit in hopes the small stars would grow laurels around them on the map.

Just thought of another one. Doing patrol missions on Venus. Get the mission to scan something near VoG. I was level 15, figured I was a beast. Jump on pillar next to vault door, start scanning. Hear a bizarre mechanical scream and then my controller vibrates rapidly and I'm dead. Killed by something called a Praetorian. Respawn, see praetorian, laugh as I take out my Rocket launcher, ignore the fact all I see are ??? in the level box, fire my launcher and feel confused with I see: "resist" from my rocket. After getting killed 4 more times I give up the mission. Come back at level 18, Stranger's Rifle in hand, feeling superior after beating the game. Think, "ok Praetorian, you're gonna be my bitch now!" I rush up close to the Praetorian, now I see a 26 in the level box, so I figure, sweet he is dead meat! I fire my Stranger's Rifle, expecting to see it melt this silly Praetorian, I mean the Stranger's Rifle was 215 attack, had a strange glow and you needed Spirit Bloom to upgrade it, it had to be a magic gun, only to see, "resist, resist, resist" and I get OHK. I immediately return to orbit and swear off Venus forever.

작성자: ZoziVora 1/23/2015 5:50:04 AM1) Jumped off a cliff while getting chased by a stealth vandal. When I first saw a blurry image coming after me, first thing that came to mind was "Predator" . Was like OH HELLL NO! Rather die by the cliff than that. 2) First time playing with Juggler mode, didn't read properly. Thought no ammo was gonna drop ever. Picked my perks like a pro, then grenade and knife my way through meridian bay like a boss or so I thought. Made it half way then couldn't help to wonder why there were ammos scattered around. Thought I played it on the wrong mode ( It was a daily heroic ) . Quit the game, restarted it and went through the same time and still saw those ammos laying around after I killed them. Restarted again and still the same. Decided to read the description again and god fek me, no ammo only for equipped weapons. Seriously ? If I had spent 2 seconds reading the whole damn thing properly, i wouldn't be such a fool. 3) Remember that first mission you get on Mars? Remember what our little ghost said ? "Dont engage them until we understand them better". I actually took that as "Dont hit them until we talked to them". So when he screwed up on the alarm and the cabals came in numbers, I actually didn't shoot them. Was waiting for a conversation to take place. Learned never to trust your ghost after that, ever. Here are some more to add. 4) Saw a high level player killed blade of crota and smash shit up with the sword. When I first encountered a Knight, I was waiting for the sword to spawn after killing it. 5) Thought energy orbs were engrams. 6) Actually thought and believed that after going into covered areas during patrol, the Orbit Link signals wouldn't work. For my first 5 days in Destiny, everytime I entered a covered area, I would actually walk all the way back out before using the back to orbit function. Well if sparrows didn't work in here, the Orbit link probably couldn't detect me as well. It made sense to me. 7) This is a moment I believe many have experienced the same. So I went on a solo mission on Mars, was hard and I didn't have any elemental weapons. Saw 2 lvl 31's passing by me heading to the same direction so my confidence grew. I followed closely till they smacked the enemy group clean and I dashed forward "trying not to look like a noob follower". Entered Dark Area and charged ahead. Encountered large group of mobs and I was actually laughing HAHAHAHA surprise madafakas! Looked back and saw no one was behind, face turned pale, died like a bish and felt so betrayed.

I remember getting the strangers rifle at the end of the game and thinking....... That's is??........ Seriously that's it????? WTF!!!!!! I think a sat there bemused for at least 20mins and checked my inventory at least 10 times to see if I had missed something. Then travelled back to the tower expecting a package or something but..... Nothing!!! A little part of me died inside that day.....
