EDIT:you have all participated in a social experiment to demonstrate how unhealthy people's relationships with gaming can truly be. It is sad and sick to see how many people in this forum advocate for violence towards woman( even as a joke), you all should be ashamed. You have painted gamers in the worst light possible, as you scroll down the comments you see jokes about domestic violence, the word "bitch" used countless number of times to describe woman, sexism, chauvinism, and all kinds of inn appropriate sexually related comments. Those of you who participated in such comments are the worst type of people in these forums. There were all some gamers who showed that some are intelligent and rational and would come with sound advice. And kudos to you. Always co duct yourself appropriately. Treat woman with respect, do not neglect your spouse and always make them feel loved. They are more important than games.

My wife said I play destiny too much. She googled how to dismantle weapons. As I made an off the cusp remark how awful it would be to accidentally dismantle exotic. I feel dead inside(lol).
She dismantled ALL my exotics!!!!

You're an idiot. I doubt anyone that has stated violence means it. More than likely they are just messing with you and your nonexistent girl because what girl would take the time to both learn and dismantle gear in a game when it be way easier to just toss/hide the disc/system.

3 답변As of this posting, your post has 36 replies. Any type of social experiment conducted on a sample size of 36, is a complete waste of time. Furthermore, revealing your grand social experiment, in which you purposed to judge the moral fiber of the gaming world, and disclosing your findings along with your judgments: "Those of you who participated in such comments are the worst type of people in these forums." seems rather hypocritical. Perhaps, rather than worrying about how a trivial number of forum posters "treat women," you should focus more on how you treat everyone. Casting stones is unbecoming.

5 답변I don't disagree with anything in your opening paragraph. However, as experiments go I think its pretty meaningless. I imagine 90% of what people wrote on the board does not in any shape reflect how they are in real life towards women. People on forums can always come across as alter egos, writing extreme posts for attention or humor. Trying to go for shock value or just general trolling for self amusement. You will see this all day long on the board, whether its towards other guys, women, races, age it doesn't matter. I don't think its right, but at the same time your judgement of a couple of dozen people I doubt think is anywhere near accurate.

But seriously, the people who read and post to a forum of an online shooter/dress-up sim are probably not a group that you can statistically relate to the general populace. Also, in my opinion your post comes off as "internet white-knighting."

I'm a Christian, and even I find your self-righteousness pretentious at least and damaging at most. People are people, we're not perfect and neither are you. Spewing hatred is never going to improve the way people respond to you, but kindness might. This was never a social experiment, because there's no way you could predict how many responses you would get. What if only 5 people commented?? You're talking about people from several countries who are on these forums, this sample size is virtually worthless. Experiments are used for scientific purposes, you abandoned any such purposes when you used this post to judge others.

3 답변Performing a social experiment on a player base that has a large number of primary school and high school aged members probably wasn't such a smart idea. Did you really expect many mature comments from children, especially ones who have no idea what a real relationship is, or who are still waiting for their gonads to drop? You created an experiment where the results were known by anyone with half a brain before you even started. Don't start acting all high and mighty looking down on the community like somehow this is shocking news that immature kids acts in an immature manner. You sir or madam are a moron.
