The lag situation has always been a problem but I just played three Iron Banner matches in a row where the entire opposing team is teleporting around the map, not taking damage, and killing my teammates through walls.
We can discuss balance issues like the prevalence of special weapons or the OP status of specific guns all we want. But if the base game is broken none of it matters.
It is particularly appalling given the total silence from Deej (and therefore the company) about when or even if these systemic problems will be fixed. Most likely we'll get the same old "it's client side" explanation. I however call shenanigans on that explanation as literally every single other game, whether Xbox One, Xbox 360 or PC, runs fine through my internet.
I have been a dedicated player and have put a lot of time into this game. I am not demanding a refund, nor would I seek one. However if Bungie continues to refuse to repair or even acknowledge these problems I will escalate my complaint through Microsoft. Microsoft has been very committed to ensuring that multiplayer aspects of games function correctly.
I do not know the source of these problems and will not speculate on their cause, however I am very certain that the assembled know-how at Bungie is capable of fixing these problems.
So Deej, care to do your job for once and provide some real communication?
Since Deej has proven to be incompetent in the role of Communications Director, would you Guardians care to provide some feedback through the poll regarding your own experience with lag?
Edit: For those answering the poll would you post your answer and your upload/download speeds? http://www.speedtest.net/ will provide you that info.
Mine is 42ms Ping, 3 Mbps Download and 0.5 Upload
I find it infuriating that it's 2015 and lag in games is still an issue. I wouldn't say destiny is exceptionally laggy because all the games I've ever played have been. I'm more annoyed that despite everyone being on fibre optic it's still like playing on dial up. Seems noone is willing to shell out on dedicated servers anymore.
