Please don't lie about having sword experience.
So, this guy--who was a level 32, mind you. We let him get the sword because he was the highest level in the lobby.
Me: You know how to use the sword right?
Guy: Yeah, yeah, Done this a ton of times.w
Guy immediately runs to Crota with the sword and starts hitting him with his shield up.
Me: Longest facepalm ever.

I've had problems with so called "sword experts" stealing checkpoints. Let's be honest, it's all about sword usage. The other 5 players have a very easy job, so in the recruitment threads a self proclaimed sword pro will get picked up [b]fast[/b]. They zone in, wipe, and leave with their Crota cp to share with their buddies.

11 답변Sometimes lying about experience is the only way to get into a group. I've been in recruitment looking to do a raid, every single post says needs experience, or looking for two more experienced players..... I've only gotten up to desthsinger with my clan but they had to leave, I'm not sure if I'll ever find a group to do the last bit without lying!

Im 31 and only a chest piece off 32 and ran crota a fair few times. I've never used the sword as there has always been a designated sword guy in the group. I know what needs to be done just never done it. Also I've never lied and always told the group I've never used it and I've not once been kicked for it.

Kid: I used the sword in the sword of crota mission dumbass its my favorite mission I go on my alternate, invite him......... start up the raid on a new run..... we wipe in the abyss and then i kick him [spoiler]I TOOK MY GODDAMN CROTA CHECKPOINT BACK[/spoiler]

For the people that dont know!! First dps swordbearer 1 guy can do this easy!! << sword guy will do this if needed another will help you! 2 let Ur team make orbs in the left corner of crota underneath the boomers 2 orbs is enough to have a super after 2nd down 1 sword or make 5/5 so you can do 2 supers in 1 sword run. When sword drops and sword guy runs up to jump spot everyone but the boomer guy does primairy crota untill sword guy calls GO then 2/3 Rockets will do the trick sword guy jumps same moment he says go you will be on crota just a sec before knee hits ground! You can do 2 things at this point either 4x RT i dislike this one tho because you need to work Ur forward movement all the time to get 4 in if one hit isnt correct you only get 3 hits in. 2 this is what i do and can beat crota in 1 sword reffing back to orbs Ur buddys make = RB RB RT RB RB RT when enough orbs and super you can hit RB LB super just after the 6th hit do this twice and crota will be down 1 sword x2 super ^^ combo RB RB RT RB RB RT RB/LB < super or dont use super and kill him on 2nd sword 1st down without supers! Crota mission complete before ogres also within 3/4 min easy have fun guys works like a charm for our team!

The sword is seriously not hard... I hate using it because I suck at jumping! Yes it is the bane of my existence... I'm a white boy who can't jump on a stupid rock correctly. The jump part of VoG drove me crazy! There I said it... I feel better...

4 답변Does the bridge sword count or the patrol sword count since they are the same function? I have use the bridge sword 3 times and I'm comfortable with it. Never used it at crota yet

I had the opposite. I was sword bearer and everyone else said they had done it a fair few times. Everytime i picked up the sword they would immediately start taking crota down no matter where the sword bearer was so i ended up getting to him when he was already getting up. Its very simple. When i say go start shooting , i will go invisible and stand next to him. Job done in 2 swords

Almost the same situation. I was playing with my 32 titan and there was another 32 who was a hunter, so I asked him " You know how to use the sword, right?" He said confidence, " Of course bro, I got it" I was like " Go ahead then, I can kill boomers with one shot so I'll do that and help out by dropping some orbs with ward of dawn and what not." So when we killed the swordbearer, he took the sword and walked right up the stairs, taking the long way to Crota moving so damn slow. We dropped Crota on his knees after he was close enough and it looked like he walked to Crota and only got 1 hit and walked away late like Crota wasn't going to attack him and then yelled saying how Crota killed him. The thing is, don't lie about knowing how to use the sword when you can't.

But lots of these players aren't good. I did a hard vog the other day with four 32s that thought they were the cats meow. None of them could wield relics. Two people couldn't handle oracles so we kept having to send another guy in the portal. All in all it was a mess.
