Hoard Your Glimmer!
Have you ever had a shortage of glimmer? Conversely, have you ever reached the 25K glimmer cap and had to needlessly spend it on synths or crypts?
Save your glimmer in the vault to minimize the occurrence of both situations! You know those 200 glimmer consumables? Hoard them.
I now have about 30K glimmer (and counting) in my vault, saved up for a rainy day.
I don't claim to be the first to do this, but sharing for those who never thought about it.
[i]Edit: does anybody know what these items stack to? A couple people have asked and now I'm wondering.
Edit 2: According to xxthebeexx they cap at 300. That's 60,000 glimmer a piece! Thanks for the info.[/i]

might want to warn people to make room in their inventory before trying to grind for them as they need an open spot for you to pick them up and they don't drop in your mail box if you don't pick them up but on a lighter note i've got 3 stack of cabal glimmer packages so yay

Nice tip! I was having a problem hanging on to glimmer, especially when Xur started charging as part of the exotic upgrades (I think that was it). Easiest way to keep ahead of all that, IMHO, is the Nightfall + idols/codes/whatever. Also take advantage when xur sells synth. It's great value!

I've been doing this for ages, have between 100 and 120 of each, because I'm always hitting the cap. I don't mind buying a bit of synth though, as I tend to prefer saving my coins, and I don't use a ton of synth anyway, given how often I don't actually get the ammo.

I remember reading this advice a while back. Completely saved my bacon during the last Iron Banner when I was short on time. I couldn't believe I hadn't thought of it before. Really some of the best advice you can get. It is especially helpful for limited events like the Iron Banner, where the gear is expensive and you only have so much time to buy it. Thank you for posting this, I hope everyone reads it and uses it.
