Community: Do you like the bump in coins to a minimum of 9 in a nightfall activity? Or do you think they should be removed along with energies/shards? We already have a weekly heroic for coins.

Fellow guardians. Title says it all. How do you feel. The good? The bad? The ugly? For me personally last week I got strange coins on both my titan and hunter. On my warlock I got The Chance. Let me know your thoughts.
Edit 1: I understand that the possibility of coins has always been in the loot pool. I am glad of bumping it to a minimum of 9. I just disagree with earning them in a Nightfall activity. We already have a weekly to earn them, and occasionally you can earn them from blue engrams.
What I suggest is bungie introduce other alternative for players to spend the excess coins they have. Like maybe make the gunsmith of some use and allow maybe a re-roll of a weapon of your choice? Or a re-roll of perks on weekends when xur comes for the price of X amount of strange coins.
Edit 2: I know this isnt my original idea as its been said before, but introduce transmorgification (or however its spelled.) For a certain price of strange coins you can change the look of your armour.
Edit 3: Okay. There seems to be confusion somewhere in the thread. Do I realize strange coins were always given in nightfall? Yes. Do I realize they bumped it up? Yes. Do I have a problem with it? Both yes and no.
If strange coins are given in a nightfall they should be given out in a higher quantity then in a weekly. I think for a nightfall they need to increase the probability of higher tier rewards vs strange coins or shards. If you have more then one character and you can run the nightfall and heroic you may possibly double drip and get coins for both. While I dont necessarily see a problem with that....the problem lies with where to spend them.
Look at Xur's inventory over the course of time. Look at how many weeks he has sold sunbreakers or void vestments. He trolled warlocks for weeks. His inventory is controlled by bungie. Sometimes heavy ammo synthesis isnt always sold. So now you have an abundance. What im suggesting is change his loot table around. Implement new ways to spend coins.

9 coins for the effort you put into nightfall is better than 3-5. How about showing some appreciation. Now, when xur does sell the gun/armor you want, you will have more than enough coins to buy it plus the telemetry to make the gun level up faster.

Seriously, the heroic gave me 9 strange coins, two blues, and a legendary that turned into a weapon I really wanted! The nightfall just took a crap on me and gave 5 strange coins.

2 답변The update doesn't slow coins.. We already had coin drops in NF al it does is ensure you won't get less then 9 coins. Prior to the update I've seen people get 6 coins.

4 답변Its not new. SCs were always a possible reward, all they changed is a the minimum awarded. I have recieved 6 just recently.

1 답변Umm if you didn't know you could already get strange coins I can't count how many times I get 5 coins for nightfall. They made it where you will at least get 9

1 답변You could get coins before, it was just usually 5 or 6. Would much rather her 9+ than 5 or 6.

2 답변Ive got exotics in both the nightfalls ive done today, and ive still got one left to do. I've only got strange coins once or twice in my nightfall rewards.

3 답변Eh, I rather have 9+ strange coins than a crappy legendary weapon that will turn into 2 energy. Use that as a rule, is it better than two energy+weapon parts?

I think you misunderstood the purpose/point of that bullet point in the patch notes.. Coins were already a possible reward for completing the NF - the amount of coins however ranged from as low as 4 to 10 or 11. Since the NF is lvl 30 and if you can complete it you can likely also complete the lvl 30 weekly a regular complaint by players pre-patch was that they received less coins for an arguably more difficult encounter than they would have for just doing the weekly which makes little sense. The update has increased the minimum number of coins you can receive to at least match that of the weekly.. still a pretty sucky reward given most are looking for exotics, but at least it isn't less of a reward than the weekly.

1 답변Nope. Coins are a rare drop. Ascendant materials are legendary. I'd prefer they get rid of coins and mats and make it all about guns and armor with a chance a legendary engram(which usually decode into energy or shards anyway for me). Getting coins gives me sad face. I am guaranteed to get 27 min from weekly heroic each week...

2 답변You know, if I got coins on just one character a week from Nightfall i wouldn't care, but when you get them on all 3 it's like a huge kick to the nuts.
