how many people made the mistake I did?
So I bought destiny on the first weekend of the game, so I didn't have any strange coins and I didn't even see xûr so I missed out on red death. By the next weekend and courtesy of the loot cave [i]#tbt[/i] I had accumulated 20 strange coins and was ready to make my first purchase from Xûr. My noobish self thought, should I buy armor or gjallarhorn? I thought that because gjallarhorn was heavy exotic that it wouldn't be useful and I would want to reserve my exotic spot for a "superior" primary or secondary that I would use more regularly. So I made the biggest mistake [b][i][u]EVER[/u][/i][/b]. And I still regret it :(
Now I never pass on exotics. Even if they're not worth the coins
Note: the only exotics I'm missing now are pocket infinity, red death and necrochasm
Edit: really 1000 people? RNGesus needs to help some brothers out
Edit 2: YES FINALLY I GOT THE BEAUTY FROM THE DEATHSINGER IM SO HAPPY :D.

I did the same thing, TC. I opted to not buy Gjallarhorn because I didn't think it was practical to have a heavy exotic, I figured I would save the slot for a primary... biggest regret so far in my Destiny experiences... I was telling a friend today that I honestly don't think we're going to see Xûr with a Gjallarhorn or an Ice Breaker for a long time, if ever. The three exotics I've been trying to get for as long as I can remember are Gjallarhorn, Red Death and Vex Mythoclast. It's insane to think that I've run the VoG on hard at least 30 times and still haven't gotten a Vex Mytho, I really hate RNG!

작성자: ItsJesterhead 1/9/2015 4:10:22 PMLucky for me i had enough coins for ghorn and inmost light helmet. at that time i wanted ghorn because it looks cool only to find out that it's a beast as well. Ghorn is my first exotic and definitely one of my favorites.

And as many said about your mistake, why not buy a primary weapon instead? Or armour? Trying to get to grips with how to gear etc. Got myself 18 coins waiting for my , hopefully, first purchase from Xur tomorrow

When I first got the game (day 1), I made it my goal to collect every exotic weapon. Got the Gjallarhorn right away. I saw that he sold the Sunbreaker gauntlets again for the second week so deciding if I wanted Amor or a Gun was an easy choice :)

My friend passed on icebreaker. His exact words "I know it regens ammo, but I already have a maxed out void sniper from the vanguard". He still doesn't own one, and I love saying things like "I got this man, let me equip one of my icebreakers".

2 답변Didn't have the coin for red death at the time unfortunately. Didn't buy GHorn either (though RNG has blessed me with 5 of them) Still wish I had red death.

10 답변I did the same, ghallahorn was the last exotic i needed too. Until tuesday. I now have every exotic in the game.

Passed on IB thinking I wouldn't need a sniper exotic ..... Man it's the one gun that eludes me every week! 5 ghorns later ..... Black hammer is doing the trick though until I get IB. And one day I shall .... Insert evil laugh*
