How does Crota still have his sword?
So in the mission, "Sword of Crota," isn't it said that the swarm princes are what maintain the sword and without them the sword cannot exist?
We kill the princes to end the mission and the sword disappears.
And what are all these other swords that came with the DLC? As in Blades of Crota and in the raid, Swordbearers?
There's also the fact that in the mission the sword is of normal size yet when we finally meet Crota in the raid he is much larger than us and his sword is much larger than the one from the mission.
There seems to be many holes in this whole sword concept.
Any input would be great.

2 답변The sword of Crota was weilded by the shadow of crota when eris and her team attempted to kill him, but when his body died his soul was saved. Its likley that the shadow of crota is a vessel that crotas soul can inhabit. Its is said in the grimore cards that the older more powerful hive have ascended beyond conventional physical forms. Thats why we have to go into hive hell and find crotas soul down their and destroy him with a weapon from that same realm(the sword). So basicly the swords are all common place weapons to the hive that are created from the dark wills of the hive leaders. So the sword crota weilds is made up of dark energies that he can give solid form in his world. Were as the "sword of crota" is a weapon made so that the physical embodiment of crota would have a weapon of power to use in our world.

5 답변The swords the bearers use are simply clones. When the sword disappeared in "sword of crota" it just went back to chill with crota.

5 답변If you listen closely to your ghost at the end of that mission he says that the sword disappeared and was not destroyed. I assume Crota called it back to him after he noticed us using it.

When you complete the Sword of Crota for the first time it IS destroyed as you have to take the sword's shards to someone at the tower for a reward. This sword was Crota's sword in our world. The Sword he has in the Raid is the sword that he has in the world he created but can't take it with him to our world. Now to The Wakening mission, you don't destroy his soul, you only destroy the crystal that holds his soul. Hence why there is a crystal in the Raid that he uses to cross over. The Blades of Crota are the names of the knight not the actual name of the swords. Like Heart of Crota, fist of Crota and will of Crota etc. The sword's that the swordbearers use are called Ascendant Sword's, and are just more powerful swords then the normal knights use on earth and the moon.

작성자: Apolloshot 1/3/2015 11:30:29 PMBecause Crota's raid takes place in his mind-world, the sword of Crota is what he'd use in our world when his physical manifestation is present (which we prevent in the awakening). The other swords of Crota you mention aren't swords of Crota, hence why they dissipate after a time. Edit: Yes I know it's stupid all that story is behind grimoire cards.

8 답변Do we really want to go through all the inaccuracies in this 500 million dollar in depth, rich story telling game? I'm just talking about with the game. How about when we destroy Crota's soul in The Awakening (I think), stop the hive from summoning him and then....we fight him in the raid. Like what happened? I thought we stopped them. Did they have a secret little summoning we didn't know about?

The sword is a phony sword. It's a regular sword the blade of crota uses. His just killed alot so it's significant Crota exists because you kill his SUMMONING stone. Not him. You prevented him from doing "presence of scrota" in the real world Also. Since I said real world; you fight him in his little universe. You jump into the hives world. Tolad explains it in one of the dlc grimoires

12 답변How is Crota even summoned for the Raid? We destroy his soul in the Eris mission, which was required for his return. Destiny ignores plot let alone plot holes. This was evident from the second launch mission where the Speaker says that he could tell you of the past and present, but does not. Ever. Or when Stranger doesn't have time to explain why she doesn't have time to explain.

He can do whatever he wants in his universe however he is not a cheater. As you can see from his stance when he spawns. He likes fighting legit (despite being cheesed 24/7) He only summons oversoul to collect your light once you die and killing the oversoul is how you can save allies most likely and when he is impatient (enrage) thats when he uses all his power and spams oversoul. (this is IMO)

5 답변In Crota's universe, he's powerful enough to do pretty much anything (within certain limitations of course) Grimoire states that he was powerful enough to make the whole universe he dwells in. He can even summon the Oversoul to instant kill. It's not a stretch to say he can get a new sword.

That version of Crota we face in The End Of Crota, is different from the one that Eris fought against. The sword we destroyed was Crotas ancient sword, but not the only one, or the strongest. The sword Crota uses in the raid, is not an normal sword. It is made of flesh, bone and Darkness. That sword is Crota and Crota is that sword. The sword Crotas minions use are just weaker copies of the original, but still carry the name of their god.

3 답변The sword we destroy in the mission is also an average size sword in the destiny universe where as crota is huge and the sword he carries is big to match.. Maybe we destroyed their replica for the crota museum exhibit?

All of Eris's missions are to prevent the rise of Crota and he still woke up. I even walk by Eris and she says " I wanted to see the death of Crota" or something like that and we still have to do stupid shit like kill Hive from behind. dafuq man
