Item loss due to network issue

I was wondering if items could be restored / investigated due to network loss? Today at about 3:00 PM EST I was transferring Radiant Shards (stack of 10+) from my vault to my Warlock. I was disconnected during this process. My ISP modem was blinking (thanks Brighthouse). Once it recovered I logged back in to discover that the shards are no longer on my Warlock or in my vault. It was not THAT many, but a significant setback nonetheless. Am I SOL?
