I have no problem with the current Marks for Mats format for those PvP players who do not want to go through and grind on PvE but those of us in PvE would REALLY like if we could bring back Mats for Marks at this point. It was a useful part of the start of the game and then somewhere along the line it was decided that the PvE crowd should be excluded from the exchange market. I mean there have already been 3(THREE) PvP special events to only 1 (ONE) PvE event (and even that PvE event had bounties for the PvP whereas the Iron Banner has has NOTHING for PvE).
I don't mind PvP but I have no interest honestly in playing the PvP side of the game, I'll dabble in it here and there but that is about it. Plus, by forcing those of us who probably aren't the best at PvP into that arena, it only irritates those of you who get teamed up with us because we end up being a kill sandwich for the other team.
Also, if/when you bring that back, could you also include class specific mats in the Mats for Marks campaign? I have WAY too many class specific mats that I will never use and I am sure they could be useful for said marks.
Mats For Marks 2015 Campaign Starts HERE folks! DEEJ what do you think? Can we see this campaign get elected to office in January? Are you going to give an official State of the Destiny Union Address like the President does? Chant with me folks: MATS FOR MARKS!! HEAR OUR BARKS!! MATS FOR MARKS!!

EDIT - I just wanted to thank both the supporters and detractors alike for supporting this thread and amazingly enough keeping this very civil. I have not had the time to go through and thank each one of you individually or even really read everything yet but trust me I will in turn at least read everything if not respond. That darn thing called life got in the way a bit today! :) But again back on topic #MATSFORMARKS2015 :)

1 답변I'm cool with no marks just give me rep and glimmer I can earn my own marks just make so whatever faction I've allied with I get the rep for.
-
1 답변1200 spin metals in inventory that I have no use for now that we can't trade them in for marks anymore. I agree bring back the marks for materials...

1 답변But there already is s PvE event every week with the chance at phat lootz called a Nightfall strike :P Is kinda weird though how many times iron banner has come around as opposed to others. Also I like the exchange this way round so I can be lazy and not farm mats since I don't need vanguard marks.

3 답변The reason they took material exchange out is because if you can buy the materials and hand them into either vanguard or crucible vendors that would be taking advantage of getting lots of rep, considering you had lots of marks.they didn't want that so they got rid of it.thats my opinion though.

작성자: Steveo340 1/15/2015 6:21:55 PMI would love to see the old system of mats for marks added to the game, but leave in the marks for mats part. Personally, I refuse to buy mats, they are easy enough to get, and, believe it or not, after all the hours I have put in, I still like popping chests open. In fact, I have so many mats that, when on patrol, I only pop chests, I don't bother with mats lying around, except for the rare occasion when I am leveling up a bunch of armor and am low on a particular mat. I would especially love to see mats for crucible marks bought back (and get rid of those stupid commendations) so I could buy crucible and dead orbit weapons. I know that a lot of people hate farming, so leave the marks for mats in place, just add the mats for marks (both kinds) and ditch the commendations. I have a bunch of Vanguard commendations, I earn them faster than I can spend the marks. But, to buy a crucible weapon I have to endure PvP long enough to earn the marks and bump the rep level up a notch? I know it is easy enough to do, but, frankly, I do not like going into crucible and being the guy that drags a team down. Yeah, I know, "get good scrub". I don't see Bungie changing this, it seems they have set things up to force people to play certain ways or activities. Apparently, forcing people into crucible is a priority, but they don't care if we don't farm. While we are on the subject of how Bungie sets things up, why is it that my favorite weapon, for a long time, has been the scout rifle, and all of the primary drops/rewards I get are friggin hand cannons and high ROF auto rifles? Not one scout since well before the DLC.

I've deleted 400 spinmetal so far because I can't use them for anything and need the space. Removing mats4marks and adding commendations really hindered the fun of the game. Grinding has also become exponentially worse. If they can't figure out how to add both options, just switch them daily or weekly to accommodate both types of players. Personally I think it is dumb to waste 10 marks buying 20 materials. It takes 5 minutes to farm 20 materials. You can't earn 10 marks in 5 minutes. The 200 cap is as bad as the 25k glimmer cap now. Why remove one way to play the game? Is it a good idea to alienate a subset of players for no good reason? I find it a dumb move to keep the user base high and keep as many players around to buy more DLCs and keep playing. Being against adding it back makes no sense. It didn't hurt anyone and kept us from doing specific activities and ruining it for others.

7 답변I'd rather keep it the way it is. I can spend my time playing other things instead of mindlessly farming for hours on end just to upgrade my stuff

11 답변Then we'll be farming again. They aren't going to let us exchange both marks to materials and materials to marks. I personally like not having to spend hours farming anymore. So, no.

작성자: kaleb730 1/5/2015 2:59:18 AMWould definitely like to see this again. Or I'd like the vendors to take vanguard or crucible marks. It's pretty ridiculous to be able to level up factions in PvE but need crucible marks to purchase anything. Who the f*ck thought that up?? Lol
