EDIT: Simple facts: Pre-DLC I was able to do Nightfalls, Weekly Heroic and the raid, now this week I can only do the raid. So basically I can't do what I used to be able to before the dlc. I didn't purchase the DLC because imo it is overpriced and didn't want to tell Bungie/Activision that I was alright with the price and that they could proceed with giving few content at this price. You can agree or not with the DLC price, that's debatable. I'm only complaining about the fact that I used to do more in the game, I don't want the new strikes or new maps, I just want to be able to do the things I did. But I guess this is very hard to understand.
Blocking me from doing weekly / nightfall every 3 weeks is so amazing I think I'll start a petition to give a bonus to those approving this idea.
I mean I paid for an incomplete game, which I'm fine with since its a 10 year project so everything's alright so far.
But then they put out an "Expansion" that does indeed expand the game by a LOT! But I decide to wait until I buy myself a next gen console to get it since they doesn't offer free upgrade for expansion (only for the digital game) which is very also a very cool idea imo. EDIT: The Pass does transfer if bought before jan 15th, the DLC doesn't. In this new era of gaming I'm not too found of pre purchasing content..
But where they made me so full of joy is when they decided they would prevent me from playing the uncompleted game I paid 70$ + tx (I love living in Canada, I know you're all jealous) by putting one of the some many new strikes as the weekly strike.
Now I was living a dream with this game, but.... when I though it wasn't even possible to have even more than what I had for my bucks (honestly who thought it was possible, we have so much to do in the game) they decided to put one of the many new strikes as the weekly every 3 weeks!! Seriously! That's just amazing, way beyond my imagination.
We can't ask for anything better, in a few years when we'll look into dictionaries we'll be able to read a description of Destiny under "fun".
EDIT: I paid for the ability to do at least 3 different end-game activities every week, I now can only do 1 of them. So basically I get less then what I originally paid for.
P.S. I love you Bungie / Activision (whoever is pushing this new marketing system) :)

1 답변I'm fully in favor of Bungie making the DLC completely separate from the base game. If you want them to take back all the new vendor gear/weapons and 2.0 exotics and run around doing lvl 28 nightfalls to max out at light level 30, you have my full support. Maybe you should look on the bright side instead of always bitching about what you can't get for free.

i can agree with some of what youre saying but what i dont understand is how youre okay with paying full price for an incomplete game? yes its a 10 year deal, but thats not 10 years on 1 game. you have already gotten everything destiny is going to give to you, its not going to change at its core. you have to wait until destiny 2 for that. so why is paying for an incomplete game just fine for you?

You're not being deprived of any strike you couldn't play before. Hit up the playlist if you want a certain strike. Ramp up the heroic factor if you want a bigger challenge. Pissed off you don't get the xp boost or the piddly chance at rewards? Buy the dlc so you're 100% guaranteed to get every nightfall strike, every week. You're not missing out on any actual content, just a special variant of what's always there. Everything you paid for is still there. Every strike you've done a thousand times is still there.

3 답변Seems to me like Nightfalls and Weekly Heroics are ongoing support. You paid for the access to the content on the disc per Bungie's wishes (expressed through the EULA that you agreed to...twice), and you still have access to all the content available on the disc. *passes OP a tissue*

If you spent $60 to play weekly heroic and nightfall strikes then you are foolish. You did not pay for those game modes because you Did not even know they existed. I do think it sucks non dlc people have to miss out on a week but don't act like you paid specifically for those game modes. Bungie will not be changing this so my advice to you if it bothers you is consider buying the season pass at a little bit of a discount because once house of wolves comes out you will lose two weeks when dlc hits the rotation.

If you still playing this game since it launched. And you came on the forums to complain about it than it means you like it and enjoy it. So pay the money for the DLC and cut it out. These petty threads are annoying. I know it sucks having to dish out more money for content but if you like it buy it. If you don't than go play something else you might enjoy and won't have to pay for content.

1 답변I did buy the DLC and even I agree it's way too soon to be seeing omnigul again, I don't remember any strike repeating itself so soon before, this was obviously done on purpose. I was really expecting it to be either Aksor or RocketsMcDickface.. Oh well

작성자: DevGEM 12/30/2014 8:54:27 PMSo, you're complaining about not being able to access content that you didn't pay for. Gotcha. It's like this, they're going to put the DLC 1 content into the weekly and nightfall rotation to keep the game somewhat fresh and interesting. If they didn't, then it wouldn't be fair for those of us who paid for the DLC, because then we would be getting shafted. And to correct you, you payed for the ability to play an online game. Its contents and restrictions are subject to change at any given moment. It's the price anyone pays to play an online game.

작성자: AnyOLName 12/30/2014 8:53:48 PMYou are not being blocked from your Activities, you are being blocked from content you don't own. Once the content you do own matches with the available activities you want to play, everything should be fine.

I've got the dlc, but this still annoys me, how you've got to fork out twenty dollars if you want to have access to the best chance at getting good loot. I was ok with this happening once, but twice within a month? That's just bull$hit. I'm losing faith in BUNGIE the more and more they pull crap like this off.

6 답변You are right. Bungie is wrong. All we can do is hope that this somehow comes back to bite Bungie in the ass. Doubtful though. As for the desticles that think you shouldn't be able to play at all since you didn't buy the dlc, you will never convince them. They're too ignorant, have never had to earn their own money or hell I don't even know. For some reason a lot are still calling destiny an MMO. This proves beyond doubt they're not right in the head. That's what makes them desticles.

You're right. This is an unfair shady business practice. Unfortunately it is their right to do this and there isn't anything you can do about it. I would be willing to bet this was an afterthought to try to get more people to buy the DLC since the expansion pass didn't sell as well as they'd like. (I mean shit, oh boy $5 off if I buy 6 months in advance! Such a great deal!
#sarcasm
) It is also sad that most the community acts like 10 year olds. This game should've had a subscription fee. Then they wouldn't be pressured to release half-assed content packs to subsidize their money (There was more content in the free DLC update than in the DLC itself). They'd be pressured into making the game great or they'd lose subscribers. The worst part though, is that the shitty part of the community is right. If you want to keep playing, you'll have to pick up the DLC eventually. They're not going to stop shafting non DLC owners and they're not going to cater to them because it would lose them money.
