Destiny is Missing Planets
I got bord one night and was reading my Grimore cards when I stumbled upon something interesting. I had found grimore cards for Saturn and Jupiter. Back in 2013, I remember Deej said that Saturn was a world you could visit in one of the trailers for Destiny.I also remember seeing “leaked" concept art for Saturn, so where are Saturn and Jupiter. Also it was stated that in order to aquire the Thorn hand cannon you had to raid Charlemagne's Vault on mars. Evidently Thorn is aquired through a bounty now but where and what happened to all the stuff we were promised?

13 답변Concept art is just that, things that are in the works. Content gets cut from video games, movies and even books. Usually do to release date pressures, unresolved problems and budget shortfalls. Bungie clearly had a lot of turmoil during Destiny's development, so I'm not surprised they ended up releasing what they did. Was it disappointing? Sure, but it wasn't the worst game of 2014. Server issues in the first month aside, the game is pretty solid and looks great. I hope they build upon the structure that they have now, which will leave a lot more room for plot and missions, with all the groundwork being out of the way. On the flip side, it might just be that they dumbed the game down to appeal to young fps gamers, in hopes that it would strike a chord with them and tried to leave enough in depth content for the older gamers. It would appear that they kind of missed the mark on both fronts, but given the amount of time people put into Destiny, they've made the equivalent of digital crack. So I do have hope for the future. I'm not expecting much from house of wolves, but later next year or at least by the time Destiny 2 is out, we [i]should[/i] have a much more immersive game. So yeah, someday we'll get Mercury and the moons of the gas giants. Until then, we are stuck with what we have, plus a few small areas that are currently closed. There are a lot of misquotes, misunderstandings and outright speculation surrounding destiny's past. People wanted it to be so much more than what it is, they dug into every interview, every vidoc, every frame of footage and then used it all as ammo against Bungie, in some kind of crusade to get something that doesn't exist anymore. I honestly wish BioWare hadn't caved to the outrage over the end of Mass Effect 3, they set a horrible precedent that whining will get you more/better content for free. Now we never hear the end of it (as most games fall short of expectations, even in the past).

1 답변Yeah, there are maps for the Reef, moons of saturn and jupiter and other stuff that was not ready for the release date. So they were cut and will be added in later installments

18 답변작성자: DirtDiver_17 12/29/2014 8:52:37 PMIt was the rest of the story (~75%) of the story which left with Joseph Staten when he left bungie or when they "relieved" him; which ever actually happened. After that they had to piece together a story line which resulted in what we got. MANY things such as other planets, conspiracies of the traveler and the speaker being evil, gambling and trading, faction wars, playable levels on the reef, and basic gear progression died with that move. That's also where grinding for upgrade materials began. Anyways there's a 34 min vid on YouTube where a guy who has followed the game since the concept art leak explains why we got so little compared to what was promised and expected.

24 답변First of all Saturn and Jupiter are gas planets, meaning that you can't land on them. Second if we go to the outer planets it will probably be on their moons or something.

All that stuff might have been planned for destiny, but was probably cut to make destiny 2, 3, 4. Why put a whole heap of hard work into one game and make it awesome when they can cut it up and sell us 4 half decent games lol

35 답변This game got cut in so many pieces that its absolutely pathetic to even think about it. We received 1/3 of the game if not less. But hey, that demonstrated to me why i NEVER purchase any games with Activision logo on the box. Last game i ever buy made by these f*cktards.

2 답변About 80% is cut and taken away from the game, it will be sold to us later in DLC (bigger expansions maybe later). Instead of giving us everything from the start and selling the game at 300 they sell the game at 60 with a lot of content cut. Then later release little pieces of that cut content in DLC and charge around 12 each time > More people will buy it that way.

5 답변Sounds like your new buddy. For us veterans its common knowledge. My advice, just play what is available. Because many spleens have been vented on this website since October about content, story etc, and it does not change anything.

There's no denying that Destiny is the biggest failure in the gaming industry since forever. Its not even funny how much Bungie failed to deliver, its WTF worthy. Like what in the f*ck happened?
