please stop sniping Phogoth from the back room...
Playing a Nightfall or weekly Heroic?? By all means, cheese him from the shrieker room. Playing a Roc or lower level? Get your a$$ out here in the main room with the rest of us. You do realize that staying in that room causes a sh!t-ton of extra wizards and boomer knights to spawn, right? There is enough crap to deal with out here without adding to the misery.
PS: stay off the damn platforms, too. See above
Edit: dang. Looks like I touched a nerve here. Hopefully the shrieker room campers will see this and heed the advice. Sure would make life a lot easier!
Edit 2: as I mentioned above, I have NO ISSUE with using the shrieker room on the Nightfall or Heroic. Hell, I use it myself. This is strictly directed at people who hang back there during Roc strikes or lower.
Edit 3: to the "i paid $60 i can play how i want to so shut up" crowd....you are absolutely right. you sure can. and i can go sit my a$$ in the room behind you, only getting up to periodically drop my titan bubble in front of you or to run into the 3rd back room to make Phogoth's health regenerate. after all....i paid my $60 too, right??

Either these are legitimate strategies from other players with which you should learn to cope since they have just as much right to an opinion on how to proceed as you do, or the game is broken. Your choice. Ie., fix the geometry that allows you to hit phogoth from the shrieker room, or don't start the event and allow Phogoth to take damage until all players are in the room and then seal the exit. Ie., don't spawn minotaurs to discourage top camping in the nexus, don't spawn the event until everybody is down on the main floor. Basically, since Bungie has proven to be a bunch of incompetents who studied how NOT to design a game (punishing good players, obsoleting content, rewarding cowardly play, creating needless time seeks and time-limiting access to vendors, locking out players game modes until they buy DLC maps, putting raiders entirely at the mercy of the RNG) , you just need to learn to deal with other people. Create a fire team of people you can work with and don't play with randoms if you don't want to deal with other players who abuse the mechanics that Bungie in its wisdom has de-prioritized fixing in favor of other things.

For anything but the Weekly Heroic or Nightfall I use the rock outside, on the left, at the rear of the large open area. I had assumed most did as well. Not sure what the problem with the elevated platforms is though. Cheers

작성자: nr2134 12/30/2014 12:49:39 AMI agree 100%. A ROC or Tiger should not take 45 min because you want to sit inside. People dont realize that you dont deal with all the wizards by going outside. If Im in a strike and the other 2 are in the room biting pillows, ill just orbit. Again, nightfall or even a bounty I think its ok. Go out and stay left, done in less than 5 min.
