I love the idea! Let me throw an idea that you may like, or not.
Instead of making us go into a specific Strike to kill a boss...
The idea behind Rose is that we seek to purify a weapon, right? To bring Light into a weapon that is tainted with Darkness.
Well, here´s an idea: instead of killing Xyor (or replacing any other step) the questline tells us to gather X amount of Motes of Light. Yes, it introduces an element of grind, but it prevents the chore of gathering fellow players who might or might not be up for the task, to kill a specific subboss.
In any case, I friggin´LOVE the idea! KUDOS TO YOU AND YOUR WORK!
Thanks. I had thought of something like that, but I know there are many players of Destiny that complain about having to grind for shards, coins, helium, etc. Your idea would make the most sense lore-wise, but I'm not sure it would go over well if it took say 50 motes of light.
Unless each step of the bounty dropped uniquely named motes of light... Best of both worlds! I'm liking this!
