This is really sad that gamers are willing to fork out 20.00 to experience new raid dungeons and strikes ; when other MMO offered it for free (cough , cough, World of Warcraft).
I remember when World of Warcraft first came out, I paid about 40 some bucks and lvled up my character to 60. At that time 40 man raids was the end game experience. The only raid dungeon avail to gamers was Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair and Black Rock. which took some to conquer.
As more guilds started to get tired of MC, Onyxia, and BR, blizzard releases a new raid dungeon ,Zul'Gurub. Then came along The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj and soon after that Naxxramas.
So with my 40 some dollar purchase i got to experience not only one raid dungeon, but 6 raid dungeons before blizzard decides to release a new expansion, which btw has more then just one raid dungeon that came with it. Now with my 40.00 purchase i also got to experience a crap load of Strikes (instances) .
You know Back in the days I played a lot of mmos from EQ> Dark Age of Camelot>World of Warcraft and this the first MMO type of game that actually gives you just 1 raid dungeon before actually buying a expansion for it. This is sad and I don't how players here are justifying what Activision and Bungie are doing is okay.

WoW is a monthly subscription fee to play. I paid $90 for the game and two expansion packs, plus $50 for a year-long PS+ membership that allows me to play multiple games online, and gives me multiple free, downloadable games each month. Pretty sure you paid more than that for WoW.

1 답변Don't give a F. I really like the DLC and especially the new Raid. 20$ for me is pocket change, considering all the hours i'm going to play to lvl up Iris on my 3 characters and doing the Raid.

1 답변Just my $.02... 1) Like others have said, WoW has a monthly subscription. 2) Sure, Xbox Live has a yearly fee, but I consider that a separate expense because that gives you access to any game on the system, not just Destiny. 3) $60 for Destiny has kept me occupied for about 200 hours so far, the expansion for $20 will only add to that. Destiny has some obvious flaws we all know about (no game is perfect), but I'm still enjoying it and that's a pretty good value, IMO. 4) I just spent $10 on lunch, which I finished in about 15 minutes.

Luckily for you, you are in the vast minority of people that feel the way you do. I'd call it about the bottom 10-15% of this community. Definitely not enough haters to ever dream of killing this game, or persuading more than a few others that their view is correct. But that said, I respect your opinion and wish you well in your endless pointless complaining in the future.

1 답변작성자: ELRaSun 12/12/2014 9:21:02 PMThe place where they messed up is titling it an "Expansion." Which it is not. It's just another public event coupled together with a DLC pack. It's like The Queens Emissary on steroids, that's it. Except she sold weapons and gear. Anyway, This difference in title matters because the game used an MMO term which raised expectations. The Omnigul Strike is awesome. So is some of the new gear, no doubt. Not downing that. But, Season Pass or DLC Whatever says there will be some new DLC content every few months. Cool. Usually around $10-15, Borderlands / Mass effect style. No prob, understood. But when you say Expansion, people think WoW, Realm Reborn, Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen / Bitter Black Isle. Usually an EXPANSION would have all of the things The Dark Below has, new gear, new cap, new missions and new open areas in old locations, a couple strikes and raids, etc. PLUS it would add a new class and/or new sub-classes, and say 2 new planets. The other thing they kind of over reached on was how much more of a storytelling experience this would be compared to the main game. In truth, after about 2 hours you can finish all the content except the raid and you have not really learned much more than what you already know from The Trailers.... She went down, she lost her team, she hid and infiltrated, now shes back and shes pissed and wants revenge. You learn nothing about the main story or the hive. It's more of a new side quest line. It's more like infamous first light than an Expansion that upgrades the game and the game world. I think that's where alot of players frustrations are rooted. Understandably. It's fun content. But, will it last till March? Ehhhh... Which sucks because just like when we had that barrage of games in october and nov, my active list for friends on destiny got slim. February is going to kickstart off the same rush of games.

1 답변I hear what you're saying and think you have valid points about mmo expansions and their worth, but let's look at this from a shooter perspective. For a battlefield expansion I pay 15 bucks. With that I get 4 new maps, a handful of guns and a new game mode. For 5 bucks more in destiny I get 3 new crucible maps, a new game mode in crucible, a handful of guns. In addition I get a few new missions, 1-2 new strikes depending on console version, and a new raid. So if I look at this coming from a shooter side, I get what I would normally get with a shooter expansion and even more on top of that. It's really a matter of the perspective you have. If you only care about pve, or if you only care about pvp this expansion may not be worth your money, but if you enjoy both, there is definitely 20 dollars worth of content.

Trying to be pragmatic about my thoughts on the expansion. I bought the £80 download version, which is certainly a lot up front. I've loved Destiny so far, having played Alpha and Beta code. As a standalone package, the DLC is undoubtedly poor value in terms of additional content, but I'd be lying if I said I don't expect £20 worth of enjoyment. If you're not enjoying Destiny, or dislike the Bungie and Activision model, I suspect this will do nothing to change your mind. However, if (like me), you enjoy Destiny, faults and all, I think you'll probably get good enjoyment from the DLC and the changes it brings. Yeah, Destiny is a lot of repeated runs, but I clearly enjoy that, and I think I'm not alone. In terms of sheer playtime and enjoyment I'll get, £80 is an absolute bargain - my view only!

16 답변WoW was $15 a month and worth it. Destiny doesn't have a sub and is.... lacking, to say the least. If that's what it'll take to drop an overwhelming amount of content then please, here's my money, blow my mind with your $500mil game and a subscription from us.

작성자: D2 is cancer 12/12/2014 7:45:39 PMThat is what Activison does. They downgraded the simple minded folks standards to the point of people saying "but its only $20, who cares, i bough it and i enjoy my 2h worth of content". It is unseen anywhere else but CoD. People who play cod and come to Destiny from that game have been brainwashed long time ago to the point where they'll buy anything with Activision logo on the box. no matter the price and without asking themselves questions if X dlc it worth the money.
