This is really sad that gamers are willing to fork out 20.00 to experience new raid dungeons and strikes ; when other MMO offered it for free (cough , cough, World of Warcraft).
I remember when World of Warcraft first came out, I paid about 40 some bucks and lvled up my character to 60. At that time 40 man raids was the end game experience. The only raid dungeon avail to gamers was Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair and Black Rock. which took some to conquer.
As more guilds started to get tired of MC, Onyxia, and BR, blizzard releases a new raid dungeon ,Zul'Gurub. Then came along The Temple of Ahn'Qiraj and soon after that Naxxramas.
So with my 40 some dollar purchase i got to experience not only one raid dungeon, but 6 raid dungeons before blizzard decides to release a new expansion, which btw has more then just one raid dungeon that came with it. Now with my 40.00 purchase i also got to experience a crap load of Strikes (instances) .
You know Back in the days I played a lot of mmos from EQ> Dark Age of Camelot>World of Warcraft and this the first MMO type of game that actually gives you just 1 raid dungeon before actually buying a expansion for it. This is sad and I don't how players here are justifying what Activision and Bungie are doing is okay.

3 답변작성자: Guardian8446 12/16/2014 10:10:35 PMYou also paid Blizzard $15 a month, dumb ass! Vanilla WoW was released Nov 23rd 2004 and TBC was released Jan 16 2007. Let's say you played that entire time and destroyed all of the content you're claiming you actually played; you paid the $40 sticker price for the box plus an additional $555 for a solid 37 months of gameplay... Now, let's assume Destiny releases an expansion every three months for the next three years; I'll pay $120. Don't you even math, bro?

1 답변작성자: Saundy 12/17/2014 2:11:54 AMCough Cough, pay every month for WoW. What people don't realize is that MMOs and RPGs ether do two things. Sell DLC or make you PAY to play. Ether way you haft to give the money. At least you can do one Raid with out having to spend a penny on something thats not the game itself.

2 답변There is a monthly fee for WOW. I did the math for my 7 years of playing. I don't remember the exact figure but it was north of 1500 dollars for fees and expansions. Not to mention mount purchases , faction changes etc

12 답변작성자: vVvKrewel 12/12/2014 9:34:49 PMFirst year cost (So far) of Destiny + 2 expansion packs 80.00 or 100.00ish if bought separately . First year of WOW 60.00 + 180.00 for year of sub fees. Burning Crusade 60.00 + 180.00 yearly sub fees. Wrath of Lich King 60.00 bucks + 180.00 yearly sub fee. Burning Crusade 60.00 bucks + 180.00 yearly sub fee. Mist of Pandara 60.00 bucks + 180.00 yearly sub fee. Warlords of Dreanor 60.00 bucks + 180.00 yearly sub fee. Total WOW cost to date 2410.00 over a 10 year period. This is why WOW had approximatly triple the content at launch, and it has more content updates and between expansion packs. They just have more capital to play with. They we're able to recoup development costs faster with the sub fees.

You should stop...I played WoW for 8 years 15x12 = $180 The cost of all those games: 40 bucks per expansion (I bought them new)- vanilla, bc, wrath, cata, mop...40x5 = $200 A gaming computer. I paid $700 for. Gaming headset, keyboard, mouse I paid prob $250-300 for. So you're looking at about $1300-$1400.... And I'm not including all the character transfers, gold I bought, customizations I paid for my character. I'll be conservative and say $150. It was probably total close to $1500 dollars for WoW AND on top of that, I had no life. Yay wow!

Your opinion is not my opinion therefore because you say it's a waste of money doesn't mean we al do. Coming from someone who's in full time employment this 20quid did not break the bank......ask mummy for more pocket money?

And you also pay how much per month to play WoW? You will never spend the same amount on this game as you did on WoW. Plains and simple. This game is new and evolving. Give it some time to get its feet wet and running smoothly. Everything has draw backs and gets old if you honestly look at them.
