Here's the major problem in your logic. PS exclusive strikes are just that: exclusive. They can accurately predict which servers are going to have those strikes, because they know which servers they are limited to. With the DLC, though, the content has already been patched into the game prior to Tuesday, being refined as we played the base game. All the digital "expansion" does is unlock said content. This means that the new strike, raid, story missions, and everything are already on your disc now. You simply don't have access to them. So you propose that Bungie create coding for the game that will individually check EVERY account across ALL platforms for this unlock purchase, and then give them content based on that? Do you have any idea how difficult that would be? It's not a simple matter of "You don't have this content, so we'll give you something else". You do have the content. Just can't play it because you haven't bought access to it. For Bungie to do something like this would waste an incredible amount of time and resources, which could be better spent trying to improve the game further as we get deeper into the game's lifespan. Same thing will happen for PS users too, except they have TWO strikes going into rotation. Just because it's PS exclusive doesn't mean they don't have to pay for it first since it's part of the expansion. I understand your viewpoint. I even agree with it on some levels, but the way that DLC is implemented nowadays (which is far more user-friendly I might add) it just isn't possible without a ton of unrealistic time and energy spent on it.

Another reason they probably didn't put the play station strikes as weeklies is because that strike is for play station. If they put it as the weekly it would be available to everyone and therefore no longer a "play station exclusive". The DLC is for everyone across all consoles pal therefore it can be put as the weekly.

there's a fix for this. if you order mozzarella sticks from your local pizza shop, eat three and save 2 for later (be sure to save some dipping sauce), fart 7x on the particular pillow you favor when sleeping, wait one hour, and then log back into destiny- you still will not be able to play, BUT, you'll have a delicious snack for when you start crying again and I will have the satisfaction of knowing you bent to my will and farted on your #1 pillow

It's one strike so 1 week out of every 6 u can't play either buy the dlc or stop complaining. You can't even access the nightfall till you do a crapload of eris' bounties anyways

Ok if nightfall and weekly are locked out to you next week then you can yell/cry/moan that the big bad DLC is hindering you. But to toss a fit about a lock out do to "YOU" not having access to the DLC strike is just childish. This is going to happen once ever month or two. So think about getting it or if this is a deal breaker for you and just leave.

CoD DLC- $15 for 3 maps Destiny DLC- $20 for 3 Crucible maps, new Crucible mode, new Vanguard mode, 3 new missions, new Strike (2 for PS3), slew of new weapons, and a new Raid. And nobody complains about the CoD DLC? That makes sense.

I like how people complain about this Disc locked content, you bought what was active and agreed to it. Otherwise if you're not happy with an item you bought you take it back for a refund! The DLC locked Nightfall could've been handled better, like have separate cycles of strikes for those with and without DLC. I'm more annoyed that as a playstation user I don't get to play the exclusive strikes in nightfall and weekly activities. Considering we're supposed to be on separate servers to other consoles, it could've been implemented.

First you haven't even tried the endgame content from when the game was released. Second, you still have access to all of the new gear with the exception of the DLC specific gear, yet you are whining because you can't play two strikes? I can see that you are a PS user, but I don't know what system you are playing on. If you are playing on PS4, you bought a game knowing there would be DLC, and you chose not to purchase it. Plus you would be playing on a next gen system and if you can afford that, you can probably afford the DLC. Hell I spend more on energy drinks in a week than what the first expansion costs. For what you get for free by not choosing to buy the DLC, you are coming out ahead because you still have access to all the new gear including exotics. What you get in this DLC is more than what you would get in a CoD map pack for the same price. With that you don't buy it, you don't get the maps and gear. Here they are giving you the gear to make your current playing experience easier, and you are bitching because you can't do two strikes for a week. Shut up and go play something else.
