Legendary weapons are obsolete?
Everyone seems to be stuck talking about exotics but what about legendaries? I personally like using the raid weapons more than exotics (vision of confluence, Fatebringer ect.) Better than most my exotics. So now they will be stuck at the current state? No upgrades for them? I even use a deaf orbit fusion riffle I really like now that's going to stay behind as well? I seem to be the only one posting these concerns. If this is how it will be its an additional slap in the face for me.

What I don't appreciate is that people fresh off the soft cap can do strikes to buy equipment off vendors that is better than Vex Raid Equipment... Damn Rare equipment starts at the same point where VOG Raid Legendary is almost maxed (requiring last 3 upgrades) I understand there being an improvement in gear, but Rare weapons should not start at 272dmg when Raid weapons need to be almost full to go 270... Even the IB is only getting 31 equipment. Yeah PVP is fun and IB looks wicked but the Limited Time equipment is no better than what the crucible handler already sells...

2 답변People are blowing this way out of proportion. You're maxed our legendarys are completely fine unless you're going in Crota's hard raid. VOG hard right now is 30 and everyone is using their maxed out legendaries. Nothings going to change. There will just be BETTER legendarys from the new raid you can start leveling.

Agrreeed x10000000. Single worst decision they have made period imho. Be legendary = Be the same. Look the same. Use the same guns. They must love taking 80% of the variety in game and ripping it out for paid content. He worst is having iron banner gun rerolls and gear for purchase right before they make it all worthless lololol What a bunch of assholes. Maybe next time we can get a buyer before ahead of time since i think most ppl were under the impression we could upgrade legendaries after the dlc, which was reinforced by the fact you were rewarding iron banner with legendary guns and armor. Never again am i doing iron banner grind to rank 5 + like 50k plus glimmer over 20-30 hours for literally nothing. They should be ashamed to be honest. No respect for players time. I can hinestly say i will never get excited over another drop in destiny ever again because it literally means zilch in the longterm. #letmeupgrademylegendariesplease

This is the truth of the game. Just because it is the highest tier, doesn't mean it's the best weapon. Legendaries are as good as, sometimes even better than exotics. After all, Raid gear is the most powerful stuff in the game.

It's not that they're obsolete, but will definitely need to be replaced in the House of Wolves expansion. Even so, it's no rush. If you find something better than your vision of confluence, switch it out like you've been doing the entire game.

5 답변Guys it won't be a big deal. It's only 23 more attack rating. If they were bumping max damage to something like 350-400, then yes, our fav guns would become weak and near useless. Try this, Kill enemies with a legendary gun at 277 (almost maxed), then kill enemies with a gun that's maxed out at 300 and you will not notice a difference. Your legendary weapons will still kill shit just fine. You might need an extra bullet here and there like in the new raid or something but it won't be a big difference. VoC, fully maxed, along with an entire list of legendary weapons will still carry you through the new content. An extra trigger pull is nothing to worry about.

Indeed. This community is stupid and went ape shit about exotics when it isn't the real problem. The real problem is legendaries which constitute 2/3rd of your load out is getting obsoleted when raid legendaries are for all practical purposes as good or more useful than 90% of exotics out there.

You guys do realize they are replacing all the legendary weapons with new ones when the dlc comes out? Maybe they will buff some of the ones that's already there. (This is the only post I'm putting in here like it or not up to you guys)

2 답변Raid weapons are better becus they have damage modifiers, if exotics had damage modifiers (which they should) they would be better

4 답변They will be obsolete for pve. On tuesday, the new level will 32. Your legendaries will be like how rares are right now from a numbers perspective. The new weapon attack level will be 323 or something like that. so running the new raid with legendaries will be like running around the raid with rares. Exotics will have to be turned into xur and reset to be able to reach 323. this doesnt take into account the current state of the weapon. So if you had already spent hours maxing out your exotic you will receive the same gun as someone who turns in a virgin gun. Then you will have to level it up again. telemetry makes this easier but it will take time. Use the telemetry while you turn in all your bounties.
