You've lost your mind, Bungie.
You know, I really don't mind that upgrading existing exotics requires waiting for xur and an exotic shard. What I do mind is being required to level the entire weapon up again, losing all that xp, time, glimmer and all the old shards, energy and mats. The mats I just bought. All that. Useless. They update the system and then wait days to tell us to not use any of them just yet?
Way to go on failing your entire userbase in one fell swoop.

What I don't understand, is why not just simply bring the current guns up to par with the new ones? This seems like an enormous waste of time and effort on their part, then dumping it all on the player. We are not the ones responsible for the power creep, but [i]we[/i] have to be the ones held responsible. That's bullshit....

작성자: Jaymz AU 12/4/2014 7:26:31 AMI think if this is implemented then Xur should sell the Exotic shard, we can buy as many as we can afford then we go to work on the new upgrades, once maxed, take it to the Gunsmith and maybe pay 1K glimmer to complete the upgrade. We shouldn't have to wait for Xur and hope he has the weapon upgrade we want. With the armour same thing but maybe take it to the Vanguard to complete the upgrade.

at the very least, if they insist on keeping this horrible way of upgrading, at least remove either the glimmer cost or the strange coin cost. 7k glimmer AND 7 strange coins is a bit much. or reduce the price of the exotic shards. would prefer they just add an upgrade node without any of this bull though >_>

I like the feature of being able to upgrade your current Exotic weapons, however I have to agree though on doing it all over. Why didn't they just have it like upgrading it further from where you left it rather than starting all over. I guess it's all for time consumed purpose keeping us busy.

4 답변I agree. They could have easily added additional nodes, since, there is room for them, to increase their power. The only logical reason they are resetting our gear, is because it will take time. This DLC is not anywhere close to a real expansion, and they want to keep us playing. This is seriously a stupid move since I assumed all the work I put into them would be retained. I upgraded a mask of the third man and haven't used it yet. If I would have known that upgrading it was a waste of time, I wouldn't have done that. Anyone defending this is a moron. There is no argument here. YOO. ARE. A. MORON. a sheep. nothing more. For those who say "you don't HAVE to upgrade", yes I do. If I don't, I have to buy them from Xur, which I already DID buy them. Adding more nodes is fine, but ALL the work I put into every exotic to just get wiped? That's ridiculous. I would be more fine if they just made an entire new set of exotics and obsolete the old ones. I could at LEAST use the old ones in the crucible so they wouldn't be 100% useless. This is absurd, and we can smell the BS a mile away.

13 답변You DO understand how these games work don't you. Its called progression. MOST games of this type render your gear and weapons completely obsolete when a new expansion is launched. Bungie have done the correct thing here. They allow current Exotics to still be relevant AND they allow you to continue to make progression on them. If you do not wish to upgrade then simply don't. Leave your gear completely upgraded as it obviously is.
