Vex mythoclast still a bit OP in PvP
I was playing a Venus rumble and multiple other games with this random guy was using the mythoclast and was destroying me at every range on that map. I was using my shadow price and I switched over to my mida but it was such a small map it didn't help.
at one point he got 5 kills in about 3 seconds with that.
I understand it's the hardest gun to get but the PvP should be "balanced" as the game claims it is.
Which since its iron banner I could care less but regular PvP it's like pre nerf suros
It shouldn't be nerfed for PvE
*Edit 1 they either buffed or ninja buffed the impact on the vex because a lot of people are saying it's hitting harder and there are videos on it showing the numbers.
*Edit 2 there has been at least easily 30 or more people who said this gun is op just in this thread from what I've seen so far I can't reply or read all replies. Because there are over 900 of them I would say 300 of them are me replying.

3 답변Don't worry, you don't have to 'git gud scrub,' it definitely is OP again. Takes way less bullets post-patch to kill someone.

Butt hurt much? Another I got killed with X weapon its OP thread... I smack people using the vex all the time. Your aim must be horrible. Maybe one day you will realise that every gun is op in the hands of a skilled player. Oh by the way, the vex was not buffed for PvP. It was a pave patch... smh

For realz? The weapon is by no stretch of the imagination OP. Most of the people saying it is are people who don't have one. Which says something. It's a contender in crucible again, but it's not OP at all. I get kills faster with my Last Word and with Shadow Price or Vanquisher.

1 답변The Vex counter is a hand cannon. Hipfire and move. Vex does real well against ARs. It has great precision damage(buff from kills), low recoil and decent range so damage drop off can be marginal. Hand cannons at the perfect counter.

Vex has a lot of recoil and the base damage for all assault rifles is the same in pvp. I was using the thorn and went 26 and 3 and got a message saying I was noob because I have to use an exotic weapon to get a good score. That match only 15 of those kills were attained with thorn and the rest were heavy/ supers

5 답변Every time someone say they want to Nerf the vex I want to reach through the internet and smash their copy of destiny. The truth, the TRUTH TRUTH is...there are a lot of weapons that can be considered OP. Why do you call of a Nerf of the vex mythoclast, yet do not discuss the nerfs needed for other weapons, including the weapons that you yourself use? The answer was stated by yourself: "I got killed today like 5 times by a guy with the vex" (paraphrasing). It's pointless to call for a Nerf, because then a new gun will be op, and then you will want that gun to be nerfed, an the cycle goes on.

11 답변Vex works the same as before the patch, it got better for pve only. Those claiming that they are using it now and it's op after the update are just having some placebo effect.

I reckon the Vex is definitely at the top end of the power scale, and rightly so. The issue is, in my opinion, one of perspective. As has been said, the only way to get it is complete the raid on hard. Unlike pretty much any other weapon, where no great skill, ability or strategy needs to be employed. This means that when you come up against someone who has a Vex, they are not only using a good weapon, but (for the most part at least) they have some skill behind them as well. It's the consistent combination of good gun+good player that gives the impression that the gun is OP. Where as with other guns you can come up against someone who can't play worth a damn, and that changes the benchmark. Just my take on it.

I didnt think the VEX would improve with the update, People must either be wrong or the code they use must be very silly. can some one tell me the headshot damage the VMC now does in pvp? no longer 40 (44 immediately after killing some one). if it still is then ti is good and better than some guns, but not OverPowered IMO. its better than many non exotics but on par with many of the recently buffed exotics, and the reduction in clip size is actually kind of a pvp nerf imo. as in pve it didnt matter so much, but in pvp running out of bullets is death.
