I'm here to answer questions.
Talk to me about what you see. Exotics are updates. There are new alternatives to material farming.

작성자: Mindshard 2/25/2015 10:41:53 PMEDIT: Just saw this is the old 1.1 post that someone bumped. In regards to the Mythoclast, were the ammo AND shot accuracy changes intended? The notes aren't clear if both changes will be reverted or not.

2 답변You should just stop with these posts asking for our comments. It's painfully clear you will never be able to bring out the full potential of Destiny.

3 답변작성자: Crockyclockwork 2/25/2015 8:46:22 PMOfftopic FTW! Destiny and Diminishing Returns RNG I'm sure many of you are aware of the popular MMO Guild Wars 2. One of the main reasons I stopped playing was because of a horrible diminishing return system woven into the game. For anyone unfamiliar with what a diminishing returns system is: basically a system that progressively reduces your rewards proportional to the amount of time spent doing the activity that grants rewards. The more you farm, the less you actually receive from farming. The decision to implement this kind of system prevent hardcore players from advancing well beyond casual players. It also prevents players from setting up gold farming businesses because it makes farming for one particular item very difficult. On the flip side, the system has a sort of anti-quitting mechanic. The game trends the amount of time you play the game, and upon sensing that you are losing interest...*Bing* you are granted a nifty item to regain your interest in the game. What is the opinion of the community on this issue? Is the RNG truly RNG? In my personal experience, whenever I take a break from Destiny, I'm left feeling like I am unusually lucky when I return (for example I took a month off to be promptly rewarded with an exotic from a vanguard strike as soon as I returned). Also, in PvP it seems most exotics are given to players inexperienced or do not play that often. Keyword is SEEMS - people will most likely remember the asinine experience of the player in last place getting the exotic while the top players get nothing. Players less likely to remember the top players getting an exotic, as this would seem "normal." So to me, I'm going with the conspiracy theory that Bungie has data logged so much information on players that it has algorithms built in that manipulate players to stay in the game - VERY SUCCESSFULLY. This applies to both drops and XuR's selection. Obviously drops would be weighted per player, Xur weighted on the community as a whole. TL:DR The more you play the weaker the rewards. RNG is not RNG. *EDIT* I found it very suspicious that the exotic I was rewarded with from a vanguard strike after taking a month off (basically after TDB dropped) was... surprise surprise No Land Beyond. A TDB exotic to tickle my interest in the expansion.

I don't completely understand the auto rifle nerf. Why reduce both range and damage? I think one would be sufficient. What really just grinds my gears is the heavy ammo not dropping after I kill someone with it. It was like a little reward after you'd kill another player.

So, DeeJ, when will we see a patch concerning RNG? What about open world? Optional matchmaking for weeklies and nightfalls? Yes, I appreciate the bug fixes and weapon adjustments, but when will we see fixes to the systems we actually ask about? Lets start with this: -The community is tired of the terrible RNG system. There are many times where we go to the cryptarch/cryptard to decode a legendary engram, when guess what?! You just earned some materials that you already had! People do Crucible matches where the lowest-ranked player gets an exotic, while the rest of the team gets nothing. This needs to be changed. -Not everyone wants matchmaking for weeklies and nightfalls. I do, personally, but people bring up a good point: it should be optional. Some people want to solo it, and others are worried about people who will abuse the system and sit AFK. (If the rewards are effort based, the second issue would be fixed.) This, too, should be tweaked. -Open world!!! Before the game launched, we were promised a massive, open world, filled with secrets! Well, where is it? I understand that there are system limitations, but seriously! Instead of focusing on having a large number of people in each cell, focus on content! I would be much happier with a larger worldspace that holds 6 people per server. (Besides, people only use up my spawns anyways.) The world you made is impressive, but you can do so much more! You guys have our money, so use it to buy bigger, better servers, and use those to make more money! It's a self-maintaining cycle! The players have spoken, and we want action. Your move, Bungee.

I am sure you think you are doing the right things for the right reasons but please read, study and absorb the rational posts which litter this forum. Nechrochasm is useless Vault space uplift is overdue PVP nerfs acted on overnight - why? Cheeses fixed before actual glitches Selective matchmaking for everyone You guys deciding which guns we should use Repeat IB over and over and over Vex accidentally nerfed - really! AR's Impact now in line with water pistols Just read the forums, some of the guys write well and offer sensible ways forward, they may not always be practical but respond!
