It would be nice to see him sell these (or even legendary mats, at far higher cost). Perhaps one of each picked randomly each week. The only problem with selling mats is that they in turn can be used to buy reputation. So your basically trading glimmer (or maybe motes/coins?) for reputation, which may break the rate at which they expect you to accumulate those.
