Sexual Harassment in Destiny
As a female Destiny player I am finding that sexual harassment is a growing issue, especially in the tower. From the first week Destiny came out, I have experienced harassment ranging from receiving messages of a sexual nature (to the point of having to block people to get them to stop) to having groups of characters surround and hump my character (moving does nothing, as they follow me around the tower and continue until I leave the tower).
Obviously Bungie can't control the players. I get that. But when I report the players for sick behavior like this, the most I can report them for is being "unfriendly." Can we get a specific sexual harassment option for times like this?
Edit: Judging by the responses to my post, the harassment is not just in game. I'm getting plenty on here, and I anticipate I'll have plenty of similar messages when I log into the game later. Speaking out has made me more of a target, and I expected that. This is exactly the reason so many women choose not to speak out against this kind of behavior.

First: "humping" in the tower is not a sexual harassment, how can someone going up to your character in a digital world and pressing crouch uncrouch be sexual harassment. Do you feel victimised if someone Tbags you after they kill you? got news for ya, it happens to EVERYONE, get over it. Second: You shouldn't have to have that sort of abuse, so If you are getting messages of that nature then report them on their profile, not on Destiny. The actions of another character in game does not affect you in anyway shape or form... imagine going to the police about being followed in the tower. jeez.

524 답변If people are harassing you here, please report them. I'll ban them myself, m'lady. If people are harassing you in the game, please continue to use the tools available to report or block them. I am officially sorry this happens. I'ts never cool, and I'll be happy to do everything in my power to oppose it. I will now read this thread and take a few people out.

52 답변Every time I see a post like this it always seems to start the same way. With something along the lines of advertising you're a female, and how you feel victimized by other players for one reason or another based on your gender. Literally never have I felt the need to advertise myself a "girl gamer" or anything that would tell people I'm a female. Why? Because my gender has literally nothing to do with playing a game. Females who make a point to tell people they are females are only doing it for the attention of guys that don't know how to act around women. I grew up playing games and very rarely ever experience any harassment because of my gender. The difference is I don't wear it on my sleeve and feel the need to point it out to everyone I see that I am a female as if it somehow matters. If you're receiving harassment online from people as a female the cause is 1 of 2 things. A: You've encountered a childish person who doesn't know how to act and would likely harass anyone. OR B: You've made a point to tell people you are a female and they have in turn trolled you for it because you're being attention seeking and immature.

작성자: Coatedmonk 11/11/2015 10:20:44 AMReport it to the system you're on. If you're on the Xbox one, you can be specific as to what they are doing to you. If they had a sexual harassment option, then you would have to put a racist option along with harassing due to sexual or religious preference.

1 답변First: I agree with you that sexual harassment is a problem. Second: I can see it now. ShesMyNerd getting stomped in the Crucible and "final rounded by Ice Breaker" then reporting them for "sexual harassment" as well as all the other report options.

2 답변Wow! Really? Someone shares feedback about the game about how she feels "harassed" and all you people can do is attack her and other players who support her? Bet you all feel big and powerful behind the vail of the screen. Doesn't matter if a players is male or female, we should all be treated with respect. But there is a lack of respect in this world in general, but even more so when people can hide at the other end of a wire and behind a screen.

Just a general question or a few. How do they know your a girl like a real girl. You must be talking to them. Second the Bagging humping thing is a tradition of games of respect or annoyance. I have created a female character in rememberance of my friend. As a male user I think that it would be impossible to tell if someone is male or female without proof. The messages could be luck but to be honest. I think you have told them your a girl and have egged it on to do the acts. My character that's female never gets humped and if it does then it's for annoyance. Understand this. Crying wolf for something you created is your fault.
