Boy, my guardian sure feels unique and powerful! I'm glad I get to customize him to my desire, pick a very unique perk and skill setup from my weapon and talent trees, and take him into the world where I get to explore a vast, beautiful and open environment! OK. And we're off to roam the lands filled with hundreds of other guardians. Oh look, that Warlock just exited his ship hovering above a mysterious cavern and is beckoning me over. As I carefully avoid the world pvp in this zone, heavily populated by members of various conflicting factions, I decide to travel deep into this unexplored abyss. What's that we come across? A series of puzzles that require we activate spires in a sequence that reveals a chest! As the chest spawns, we are removed to a cutscene that explains the purpose of this cave and why this puzzle exists. Turns out it was a grave of an older guardian wounded and fighting for survival during the collapse, who in his dying breath left these spires as a key to his gear for someone who proved himself worthy. Cool! Control of our characters is returned and we see the chest before us. We open it and are both given guns, a shotgun for myself and a sniper for him. Despite how unique they are by the rng of the perks, we decide to trade the weapons as I am more of a sniper guy and he loves his close-ranged assault. As we depart the cave, we both hop into his ship and he flies us to a neutral city, safe from world pvp where we can see what bounties this planet has to offer. But first, we need to test out these new weapons on the target dummies! Seems I've made myself a new friend, with a very unique and satisfying story behind these epic weapons. Maybe I'll take them into one of the many raids tonight when join matchmaking and can learn of what other stories people have to tell about how they've acquired their unique weapons as we all fight to collect raid marks to help upgrade our armor! What a truly satisfying day on Destiny! I feel like every day is a new experience! Now let me go thank that team that made it all possible. I'm so glad the designers and developers care so much about us guardians. I just have so much to do and so much fun doing it.
