Oh -blam!-ing Goddamn Shit -blam!- It's Time To Panic
I'm filling a gen ed requirement with a class about discussing the Internet and New Media. So far it's been the standard bullshit "read this thing and tell us your opinion" stuff, along with with in class conversations about how the Internet has changed and is changing society. Boring, but could be worse.
But today, we got a new assignment. A really bad one. We are to create a log of our internet activity, describing what we were doing and what we were thinking as we did it. The teacher said we should just go down our browsing history to create it. Our browsing history. In a class where a large part of what we do is shared among everyone. I've also been vocal in my opposition to social media in this class so people are going to be looking out for mine to see what's different.
