I find it strange that there is a way to cheese every boss in the strike. Is this because we as a player base are very smart and know how to use our environment or just because lazy game testing with the development of the game allowed these places all over the game.
I for one remember the thrill of the first time I took on phogoth running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to wait it out 30 seconds so my team could revive. now everyone just stands in a place where they can't be hit by adds or the boss.
Do you use cheese spots?

I use cheese spots. It's not smart to take on tough targets head on, trading blow for blow.. You need to use your head and finesse to win fights. I see nothing wrong in using whatever tactic(look this word up) works best for you and your style.

9 답변Think of it like this: if you were handed a rifle and sent into a place where there are lots of enemies with weapons, would you run straight in? Or use cover?

2 답변I'll be honest, I found a bona fide cheese spot on Nexus Mind. Theres an obvious way up to it thats blocked by invisible walls. However there is another way up where they obviously decided no-one could make the jump... 😉

1 답변phogoth took me i think over an hour the very first time i ran that strike, it felt like over 2 hours im not sure. clear time was under an hour though. but the rush after his defeat was exhilarating and one of my most memorable destiny moments. he was an epic boss at that point in the game and made me fearful of all the future strikes thinking they would be much harder lol. he still puts up a good fight with the heroic modifiers, but for the most part he can be cleared pretty quick now.

3 답변So... if you're not standing in open terrain and just trading bullets with the boss, it's now "cheesing"? Gods I -blam!-ing hate this new generation of gamers...

2 답변It was pretty fun at first, but repeating it over and over with the strike playlist kinda rendered it stale. That's when people just want to get shit over with. So I mean, when I'm forced to do a certain strike as a Nightfall or a Weekly, I'm already at the point where I'm completely sick of the strike, so I just take the faster easier route and cheese it.

작성자: bravebreaker 11/7/2014 6:54:41 PMThose spots are there to give you some breathing room against enemies in the nightfall. The enemies are still tough and you can still die in most spots but it rewards patient and disciplined players.

whats with this communities obsession with cheese? also use of the environment isn't cheese, it's strategy and that's the way the game should be. i wonder do people just want blank maps with zero cover/hiding spots and try to beat the game like that. there is no way with the amount of pain these guys put out and getting kicked into space if you all die, should there be no cover/hiding areas in maps. besides that i think the true definition of cheese as it pertains to this game is not fighting a boss at all and making him commit suicide. you can't do that with any other boss.

Cheese if needed (nightfall strikes in particular); probably wouldn't be capable of beating most nightfalls without cheesing!!!! however you beat it - good for you! The one thing that really depresses me about cheesing is when I am told, to just stand in a corner and not shoot the boss (aetheon cheese / fall off) - I hate not being a part of the fight. At least let me shoot something, dammit!

1 답변I did a strike with 2 people staying in the starting room at phogoth and I was running around the main room. They kept dying. I didn't.

1 답변I use tactical spots that provide me with the best advantage possible in a fight against overwhelming odds. This is also known as utilizing the environment to produce a winning strategy. None of these spots are made of cheese or any cheese like substance thankfully, as cheese would disintegrate under heavy fire. So I have no knowledge of this "cheesing" you speak of.
