I find it strange that there is a way to cheese every boss in the strike. Is this because we as a player base are very smart and know how to use our environment or just because lazy game testing with the development of the game allowed these places all over the game.
I for one remember the thrill of the first time I took on phogoth running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to wait it out 30 seconds so my team could revive. now everyone just stands in a place where they can't be hit by adds or the boss.
Do you use cheese spots?

2 답변I don't think it's a cheese spot. let me put it this way, if you are in a war, would you go head straight to the enemy? or would you rather use your environment for tactics and strategies to win the war? none of those areas are not 100% safe. you can still get killed.

1 답변My friends and I use the "cheese" spots for the harder stuff like the raid and Nightfall. Aside from that, we play legit. Cheating would be more like getting out of the map and shooting from the outside. It's like my friend said: "Play smart, not hard".

10 답변I'm almost 100% sure without "cheesing spots" these strikes would be impossible on nightfall.

I'll only use "cheese spots" when doing nightfall or heroic strikes solo, never on tiger strikes or even when doing level 28 heroic strikes in a group. With nightfall it also depends on the modifiers. Last week's Nexus strike with void modifiers pretty much required the final boss be cheesed since even the splash damage could 2-3 shot you at 28-29. I wouldn't be surprised if they were put there deliberately by Bungie devs just so they could complete the nightfalls. :P

There are two options. Either the developers didn't know they're there, or they did. In the case of the latter, they didn't decide to change anything because most must've been intentional, like the areas under the stairs in the Mars Strike. It's not hard at all to figure out which are and aren't legit places. Like the little hideyhole in the Earth Strike is a leftover from development. Anyone who has some knowledge of game design knows that in such an are the developers placed certain items to see what can and can't be done in the boss fight. Easier to do than to run the entire strike 50 times to tweak it. I use some them usually yes, but mainly because I enjoy to solo the strikes. Those small spaces give me a little breather. However I did discover a very nice little spot in this weeks Strike that guarantees 100% safety from the tank... just finding the spots yourself is fun

The entire point of being a gamer is to figure out a way of completing the missions given to you. If you can figure out a way of doing it without dying, then why wouldn't you do that? Use the environment to your advantage.

That's been my argument from the beginning. These people MADE everything in the game. It was all designed by people and those people had intent. I don't think the level designers were like "oh yeah, let's just out these random pillars in here and here. OK that looks good". Everything was designed with intent. How awful would these level designers be if they looked at the templar fight in VoG and didn't notice that players could make it to the floating hobgoblin sniper platforms. Or that a warlock could float all the way back up to the start platform from where the confluxes spawn. I believe it was all designed that way on purpose. Some of those nightfalls would be pretty difficult without them (I know that's the point, but you get the idea)

I use cheese spots. It's not smart to take on tough targets head on, trading blow for blow.. You need to use your head and finesse to win fights. I see nothing wrong in using whatever tactic(look this word up) works best for you and your style.
