It finally happened.
I have heard about this, but never thought it would happen. I was about to join a hard raid run with my level 30 hunter. Got in the party and than was asked to leave because I was a hunter. I have played with some of the guys in the party many times and yet the other half felt a hunter was unneeded.
I have to assume they wanted to cheese atheon the new way but still I hold my own in the raid and do whatever is needed at the time. I know I haven't done a flawless run yet, but still I'm nowhere near the worst.
Just a little shocked.
Edit: Thank you for all your responses. I appreciate the kindness and feel for those who have gone through this prior and in the future. It's not that big of deal for me because I run the raid when I can with whoever. I have helped a few groups through their first raid a few times now. If you wish to invite me along and i'm on, send me an invite. My psn is the same as my forum name. I play on the ps4. Once again thank you.
Edit 2: I was not expecting such a huge response. Once again thanks. Nice to see this side of the community for a change.
Edit 3: Sorry I am not able to reply to everyone, I signed on and saw 50 responses. I did want to point out one thing about Hunters in the raid on hard, we can't self-rez, or bubble, or stealth revive, but we are far more careful. I have seen Warlocks go down far more than any Hunters I have played with. Not saying that the warlocks were poor players, but that the self-rez made them careless. Titan bubbles also tend to create false sense of security. Granted most if not all of you understand this and have acknowledged it. Hopefully, the third subclass provides a more team oriented option for raids...or they buff GG.

tbh i think because of the hunters jump options they are most geared for being evasive and not dying which turns out to be pretty important on hard mode. I am a hunter and rarely ever die first.... or second or third or fourth or fifth. Not to mention im usually leading in kills of all types. Hunter isnt a weak class. They must have wanted to cheese him

30 답변Thats why you dont pick a class based on looks. A lot of people went hunter and titan cause they looked cooled. I went warlock cause they have the best abilities while looking bad ass. Warlock for life

2 답변I don't join groups who are looking for warlock so they can cheese atheon. I mean seriously he is so easy to kill normally, why the -blam!- do you want to push him off? Me and a group destroyed him in one Oracle run, and that's with only 3 of us having maxed out gjallahorns. You can't say it's to save time or it easy blah blah, 1 Oracle run using 1 time of vengeance, it took 2 minutes.

Nevertheless just yesterday I saw a fellow hunter work miracles in Nightfall with his invisibility...runnin around unseen rezzin people Not to mention the superiority of the hunter in PVP....

2 답변I would like to take a maximum of 2 hunters, though I will accept 3. No more than that though. I like a perfect balance of 2 of each class, though it's not always feasible. I like sunsinger warlocks because I don't have to worry about them and defender titans because their shield is pretty damn useful. Strikers and Voidwalkers aren't accepted at all, what a waste of a support class, I'd rather have another hunter. Golden gun is way more useful than Nova Bomb or Fist of Havoc.

2 답변I think more people than usual hate hunters because of the crucible, bladedancers are usually seen as easy-mode crutch for players with no skill. by proxy all hunters and all people playing hunters get a lot of needless hate which translates into PVE after a while.

Sad statement about the Destiny community if this is actually becoming a thing. I don't understand the hate on ANY character class. My main is a warlock, but I do also have a titan and hunter... they're all great, just different. I don't care what class people play. I'll roll with any class in any fireteam, as long as they're not jerks or AFK players. ☺

1 답변Don't the Hunters GG one hit the oracles? If you ask me, I like having 1-2 hunters in my raid group if we need to pop the oracles real quick.

7 답변I understand why ppl want the warlocks to knock the Templar of and get the extra reward for no teleport but I actually feel the Titan is the weakest. I consistently see the titans dying on my team the most. And while the weapons of light is nice for the defender as a team buff, but I often find it works better for everyone not to relocate from strategic points just to gain this buff while more often than not sustaining damage just getting to it. Then again a lot of ppl just hate the hunters because they tend to just murder ppl in pvp. Btw I have a 29 hunter, 29 Titan and building up a warlock

If I had a choice on Atheon, I would have 5 hunters and a Titan. Titan to pop a shield in the middle to maximize Time's Vengeance, and two hunters to use golden gun on adds non-stop. A hunter cannot be underestimated versus the venus minotaur. 3 GG bullets (which he will almost always have after the Time's Vengeance phase) or against the 3 hobgoblins.

3 답변Oh great. This mentality. I hoped it wouldn't happen in this game. In GW most people will kick you if you are running a ranger or a necromancer. It's quite sad honestly that it's happening here too

7 답변I think that complete BS. I think hunters are very usefull. Especially in the Atheon fight. A portal run with 1-2 hunters using GG on the adds feels like a breeze. I do understand if somebody doesn't want to run a full Hunter team.

2 답변I don't understand why people even wanna kick other people out because their hunters & they wanna knock Atheon off. The new way is considered solo. Me & my clan tried to knock Atheon off the new way lol that shit was way to -blam!-ing hard! The guy said to do it solo for a reason lol so we said -blam!- it lets just beat this asshole legit. Isn't hard at all just everyone gottah know what their doing.

7 답변All they need to do is nerf the Warlock self revive thing and hunters will be fine again. Make it so they have some form of resurrection sickness.. for example 50% dmg and hp reduction for 1 min.
