It finally happened.
I have heard about this, but never thought it would happen. I was about to join a hard raid run with my level 30 hunter. Got in the party and than was asked to leave because I was a hunter. I have played with some of the guys in the party many times and yet the other half felt a hunter was unneeded.
I have to assume they wanted to cheese atheon the new way but still I hold my own in the raid and do whatever is needed at the time. I know I haven't done a flawless run yet, but still I'm nowhere near the worst.
Just a little shocked.
Edit: Thank you for all your responses. I appreciate the kindness and feel for those who have gone through this prior and in the future. It's not that big of deal for me because I run the raid when I can with whoever. I have helped a few groups through their first raid a few times now. If you wish to invite me along and i'm on, send me an invite. My psn is the same as my forum name. I play on the ps4. Once again thank you.
Edit 2: I was not expecting such a huge response. Once again thanks. Nice to see this side of the community for a change.
Edit 3: Sorry I am not able to reply to everyone, I signed on and saw 50 responses. I did want to point out one thing about Hunters in the raid on hard, we can't self-rez, or bubble, or stealth revive, but we are far more careful. I have seen Warlocks go down far more than any Hunters I have played with. Not saying that the warlocks were poor players, but that the self-rez made them careless. Titan bubbles also tend to create false sense of security. Granted most if not all of you understand this and have acknowledged it. Hopefully, the third subclass provides a more team oriented option for raids...or they buff GG.

4 답변Gunslingers are very useful when it comes down to oracle and harpy suppression in vog. Infinite golden gun on harpies ensures teammates get out of the portal safely and if you are in portal u can either gg the oracles or help taking out minaturs quicker than any other classes. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

I'm a 29 hunter and my friends list is always ASKING me to raid with them because they realize it's not the class but the player and I at least understand what to do I'm a little squishy in hard mode but 98% of the time I can get away quick enough to regen and still get the kill

Cheesing atheon takes the same amount of time then doing it normally maybe even more. Your welcome in my fireteam anytime man. Hunters are a great class. Dont worry about the haters. I personally dont like using hunters but its all personal preference. There is a lot of hate towards hunters being that they are so called "useless" but they have their perks and downsides like any other class.

작성자: RocknGar 11/18/2014 4:24:47 AMI'm hunter and I have never experienced this I consider myself much more worthy than any warlock or Titan in raids, I'm always the last standing guardian always trying my best so in the end it's not about your class it's about skills , only unskilled people will beg to differ I actually receive many invites for hard vog... So my advice is search for another raid group and move on

1 답변GG is awesome for supplicant control and taking down the hobgoblins left side before relic user even gets down there, PLUS almost killing minotaur right side before relic user gets there. People who don't bring hunters are morons, and its funny we have a warlock in our group who is a good player but is so used to having his crutch (Revive) that when he plays his non warlock he is terrible. We who play hunters have to be quick on our feet and intelligent to survive, not rely on a bubble or revive.

5 답변Us hunters have this sweet ability to go invisible; when this happens. We can revive any downed teammates.

1 답변That's trash man. I couldn't care less what character you select. Just carry your weight and be respectful. Personally, I prefer a variety of people in the fireteam. Pushing the Templar off is easy by myself so that doesn't matter. I don't cheese Atheon. I have weapons for a reason. I push the templar off for another chest.

1 답변I always hated the argument that Warlocks can self-revive. Heres a better plan: DON'T DIE. Bubble is good, but only truly useful with Helm of Saint-14. A couple weeks ago, I was doing the Raid. We got stuck on Gatekeeper because everyone else couldn't use the shield. I soloed the first gate, killed the Gatekeeper, grabbed the shield, and held down the Conflux for a good 5 minutes while a Level 29 Warlock and a 28 Titan got screwed in the other portal repeatedly. Goes to show you- its the player, not the class.

People are kicking hunters from raid parties now? I never once kicked anyone from the hard raid :/ I had 4 other people leave and then I invited two friends and we 4 manned Atheon. We tried 2 manning him, but wiped on our last wave (the other person was a hunter). It's sad that people are kicking someone for being a certain class.

I have a level 30 warlock and hunter with over 30 hard raid completions between them and I can tell you with complete certainty that class makes 0 difference in the VoG. Golden gun for supplicants and oracles, Titan bubble for extra damage and Atheon platform safety net, Warlocks shouldn't use sunsinger because they lose damage potential of void walker and shouldn't be dying anyways. Each class has a valuable role in their, but at the end of the day the only things that matter are the level, the weapons, and most importantly, the skill of a player.

1 답변I have preferences for class but have never kicked anyone from a team for being a dirty hunter... they are just as capable as the next guy at any activity in the game.
