Since I like to spend time just running around earth and Venus shooting everything in sight, I had a thought: What if there was a patrol world with enemies lvl 20+ and not the level players would be when the campaign brought them to said planet. This would probably encourage more people to play the patrol since there is now an added challenge to it. Another idea would be to increase the spawn rate of mini bosses. It sucks to grind out ~50 vandals just to find one reaver. What do you guys think?
Edit: Thanks for the feedback! Some possible additions could include fighting off the Darkness, possibly on Vex controlled Mercury, as well as visual effects of a storm, rain and general darkness. Another thing as mentioned in the OP is a big increase in yellow health enemies, a lot of you agree with that part. Last, if rep earned was increased it would make leveling vanguard much easier. I will be posting this in the feedback forum so please visit the link and comment so that it will be noticed there! Keep the ideas rolling!
Edit2: over 400 comments! Wow! Some more ideas are to add patrol gear, similar to raid gear that can bring you to lvl 30. Obviously it will be hard to get, but still attainable. Another point was raised that it would not require a whole lot of work on bungie's part since the map and enemies are just about ready. I wanna hear more ideas so we can make this happen!
Wow guys I got this Trending!! Keep on posting, I want to hear all your ideas!
And on hard patrols the enemies should drop the materials from that planet. (Fallen drop spin metal, vex drop spirit bloom, cabal drop relic iron, hive drop helium)
Completely agree, hard mode patrol would be great! give better chances for legendary engrams to drop and guaranteed ascendant material from the events tired of getting them from my legendary engrams seriously that's all I get from them! If I don't like the item I get I can just dismantle said item to get the material after getting 2 primary engram(among other legendary engrams!) and hoping for an exotic or just a legendary auto rifle just to get material is pissing me off

Destiny has a lot of potential and it could do many things. However for ANY OF THESE TO WORK, there needs to be good rewards in terms of dropped gear. Loot drop is the destiny's strongest mechanic followed by better than average crucible imo. Since destiny is in its early stages content is very slim so I don't see this working.

2 답변I wouldn't do it. Why? Because the nightfall is the same "fun" as the hard patrol would be. The main reason for that is that is nothing else but a reskinned version of what we already have done countless times. Ok. Add yellow ones. Then what? It takes me longer to kill and to do basically the same mission. Yeah! That really helped out the game #irony. No. What would really help and there I would also agree with the OP that adding a hard challenge would be nice is creating NEW special missions that can only be done in patrol. Especially for the level 20+ characters. THEN it would make sense. This would also motivate players that havent reached level 20 yet.

also could add in weekly patrols or nightfall patrols where elements are buffed or nerfed and modifers are active, for pve materials for a new faction, 4 sets of 30 gear per guardian type, meaning one per planet. vendors for these are throughout the respected planets, as for regular hard patrols have it so you can add in certain modifers. this time dont buff our weapons at all if its a element buff but rather only buff the enemy element about 20-45% less than nightfall. along with adding in specific negative modifers like -75% arc/void/solar damage for all arc related damage against the darkness. have one where you get no radar, no hud, melee for hp, etc cmon! lol sry. but could also have it where these hard patrols have to specifically visit 3,5,7,10 sites throughout the respective planets to complete kinda like a strike and thus be a instanced playlist. there needs to be open world pvp though

What about the damage you can take verses your level. A fully upgraded TDYK at level 25-30 should one shot most of the fallen on earth..but it doesnt...shoot a vandal (other than headshot) and takes his health down to almost nothing. That needs fixed. Also same level enemies (1-6) shouldn't chip at your health like the ones on mars or venus do. Fix those issues before anything and a lot of people will be happy. I'm for a selectable difficulty for patrols but I think there needs to be some tuning for it to work.

작성자: Raider TCK 10/30/2014 6:00:32 PMI would love this. They should make it so that if you play the patrol at level 28 you get 3x the materials when farming. It would make spine metal at least a bit challenging and far more rewarding. I mean at the moment I need spinmetal to upgrade my Vex Mythoclast. So I have an endgame weapon from beating Atheon on hard, I am level 29 and I only need one more raid gear piece to hit level 30.... yet to level it up I need to run around in an area which has level 1-8 enemies. WTF.

I vote to allow 6 person fireteams in patrol...I mean after all, its the most casual part of the game. Why not let us mess around and practice with larger fireteams, perhaps the teams we want to Raid run with? I also 2nd the Hard Patrol motion

3 답변Nice, but honestly I'd prefer to have current map areas with stronger enemies. Do you remember in the beta when everyone was trying to explore those areas with harder enemies (grotto, ogre and ?? enemies)? It was really cool to have some zones almost impossible to explore before leveling up... In that sense, I think doing a Patrol when your character is very low level really captures that feeling of "safer" areas where you can explore freely and other really dangerous areas where enemy can kill you with one shot. However, after leveling up unfortunately you end up being able to go everywhere with your eyes closed, there are no enemies stronger than you, and that's bad. Maybe opening some new zone in patrol with the really (really) strong enemies could be a solution.

Its an interesting concept but the problem is that the game is server sided and ALL players from level 1-30 are in the same zones. The only exception is when players are in a mission, then they will get separated. Hard Patrol would be cool to see but difficult to see actually implemented.
