Lots of people want this feature even if it's not the ideal way to play the raid. We paid for the game, so it's our choice. Regardless, if people think it's a bad a idea, they don't have to use it -- no one is forcing you. The bottom line is that the addition of raid matchmaking would have NO effect whatsoever on people opposed to it.
I am lost as to why so many people are opposed to the idea. How would me, and 5 people like me, using matchmaking for the raid effect you? Answer: it wouldn't.
Besides, how many people are going to buy DLC with a raid if they want matchmaking it doesn't have? Remember who's really in charge of this game... Activision...
EDIT:
I dig how so many people are telling me that matchmaking would nerf, dumb down, or ruin the raid. Yeah, because all the other threads full of people begging for final checkpoints on hard or asking warlocks to cheat for them are keeping the raid legit. Yup, matchmaking sure would ruin the raid...

I think the argument some people are making that matchmaking for harder content wouldn't work because it wouldn't be a good group is flawed. If you enter a fail group, it would probably serve to try and connect with people who would create a better group. If you happen to find 5 cool people with brains and mics, then why is this a bad thing? Most succesful groups would still be made without matchmaking.

5 답변Labrinyth of the Gorgons. Could you imagine people not knowing how to do this or where to go, or trying to get the chests with a group of no mics? Or maybe even people that are afk for a long time. Even if groups made it this far using a matchmaker, this right here would be the roadblock. 1 person messing around here, or one person going lone wolf can = lots of raging and quitting.

2 답변I am a perfect example of why the matchmaking is not the best idea.. I plan to complete the raid and will be on a team of people I know who don't mind being patient with me and understand and are prepared for the fact I don't have particularly great skills and sometimes need stuff expaining to me in idiot's terms.. (I'm not stupid, just still getting the hang of this is all.) Now in a group of friends/ players I'm familiar with this is fine, they know to expect I'm shit and we can have banter, but can imagine trying to carry me, and explain everything would be infuriating to total strangers who are either used to the raid and just want to get it done or who are unfamiliar with it themselves and having to revive me all the time.

1 답변It doesn't matter if we paid for it or not. It is up to bungie if they want to introduce match making or not. I am all for giving people a chance at the raid because it's easy to explain how it works and work through it together. I however do not want to get matched with a troll who will just sit there and not contribute trying to get a free ride through the run.
-
Not sure why people are having a problem with finding people I work at least 10 hours a day mon-fri did the raid on both of my characters everyweek. I just bought a ps4 and had no friends and still able to get a group together. And if you did have matchmaking there will always be at least one person who would leave or grief or just plainly suck. Look at the crucible people can barely get over 5 kills and that person is on your team or strike where there is that asshole that goes afk just so they can get the reward for you doing all the work. If you desperately Want a matchmaking go on forums and lead a group don't have somebody hold your hand expecting to invite you and help you with the raid.

2 답변작성자: AnIrishWolf 10/14/2014 2:43:19 PMI wouldn't call us elitist scumbags... more like we know what is required to run the raid. I don't want to wipe through the raid for 5+ hours because of a lack of teamwork or simply because of a couple of other players lack of knowledge about the Raid in general... Me and my best friend do the Raid with a group of others all the time, but there has never been a time where we have been in a group of total strangers and made it through with any kind of speed. Me and my bud know each other and usually the other 4 know each other, that is usually enough to get us through the Raid. But we have done it with several randoms and it just doesn't work out. This mechanic isn't in the game to piss you guys off, it's to promote the hard work required to finish the raid. Bottom Line: If you are not willing to do the work to get into the Raid with a good Group then you probably won't be willing to finish it when people start wiping. It's a mechanic built to weed out those who, and I say this knowing how ridiculous it sounds, are not dedicated enough. But then again anyone who has played WoW understands the importance of this mechanic.

Fine I'll the Elitist title if that is all it takes. But in return you must admit to how lazy and self-entitled the people who want end-game matchmaking really are. Stop using the "I payed for it, It should do what I want" ideology. We payed for a service that bungie is offering and that is it. If you do not like the service they offer, stop using it. In game matchmaking is not something we need right now in the game. It takes less than 5 minutes to get on either destinylfg.net or destinytracker.com and find a fire team. You can even look at the gear each person has before you get them to run with you. The fact players do not have the initiative to simply go to a community website and find a fire team shows they do not have the initiative to complete the raid. And yes matchmaking would affect everyone. See 6 guys are going to que of for the raid. Some of them will not pull their weight and some will drop. Two issues pop up at this point. One, the next guy to que gets to skip content because matchmaking wants to fill thee spot of teams with out 6 before starting new raids. Or people continue a vicious cycle of wiping and dropping from the raid so often that they get frustrated and quit. This will cause our community to dwindle away. But hey that's just my opinion.

How to counter your argument: Play Skirmish solo. Watch as the game places 2x level 15s on your team and 3x level 30s on the other and watch your team get stomped. Same rule applies with the raid. You may want to queue up for VOG-H and be level 29, but the game isn't gonna stop 4x level 27s from joining.
Bungie may be stupid, but not that stupid.
9 답변To the people who argue that verbal communication is necessary, you are essentially saying The deaf and mute players who purchased this game should be forced to miss content. It's just not a sentiment that I buy when picketing for teamwork. Really ought to be a radial menu with callouts. ( But that's another thread entirely. ) I understand the raid is difficult, have I played it? Hell nope. But if a person wants to hit a button, get matched with randoms and take on the raid, why stop them? If that means a rough match, blood sweat and tears, so be it. For that matter I refuse to admit that finding someone on a forum somehow guarantees reliability. I could spend an hour putting a team together just for the fact people would leave when it "Wasn't full when they joined." People are fickle and impatient ESPECIALLY in games like this where the carrot is dangled a foot beyond the wall of bludgeoning insturments. There is one glaring defect that would need to be resolved before any type of matchmaking was implimented, and that is droppers. Skipping out on a team is just too easy right now.

You are correct in that a lot of people want this feature but that doesn't make it a good idea. I do not want to raid with most people because their gear, class, subtype, understanding of the game, intelligence, whatever is not going to be up to what it should be for this challenging raid. I can clear this thing in 45 minutes now because i've found a group i trust, know and work well with. I am also not a detriment to the team. It took time to get there too. I just don't think it would help the problem if unprepared people went in this raid and brought down the other 5 peoples experience.

The only way I see MM in Raid working is if I have the choice of starting my own Raid and getting match made players into my game automatically like other games do. Then I can boot whoever I want and the game will automatically find me more. When I'm satisfied, I can start the game. Someone quits? JIP. No mic? Booted. JIP. Has mic. Continue with the Raid. Or if I want I can just select Quick Match and hope for the best.

9 답변
not the ideal way to play the raid
No, no, no. It'd wouldn't just be less than ideal: it'd be awful. It relies to a HUGE degree on strategy and coordination with your teammates. This isn't like a Strike where any ol' random will do. You need to be in a team mindset. To have patience. Time. Be willing to try new things and do what the team needs rather than what you want. Trust me: you don't want raid matchmaking.

9 답변Elitist scumbags? Yes, yes they are. Small little people who need to elevate themselves in ridiculous ways.

2 답변If they do a level match sure. I don't want to have to carry 2 level 26 or even 1 25 in any raid.
