thorn ?
Is the thorn any good guys.Is it any good for pop or is it better off a raid weapon

1 답변작성자: Ulmius 10/10/2014 4:53:13 PMYou can cut the reload speed for it by ~1/3 (and any gun for that matter) by tapping the sprint button as soon as the animation shows your guy putting the clip into the gun. It takes a bit of time to get used to it, but after like 5 minutes of practicing it becomes second nature.

I like it and I barely upgraded it. It's different than other hand cannons though and really need to get accustomed to iron sights on it. Takes a while to be popping heads left and right as aim seems to be a bit off as far as reticule goes LOL It's totally worth using though, I love it, sort of adds challenge in my case.

You know, I liked the gun before... I really did. Got it upgraded and all. Then for fun, I tried the rare handgun I used to use before getting Thorn. And you know, I had way more fun with the rare gun than with Thorn. Only good thing about that gun is the damage over time, range and maybe damage. Imo, get "Devil you know" instead. Thorn atm isn't worth it.

Thorn upgraded is ok. But its slow handling, low impact, small clip, and slow reload really hinder its abilities to be good. A Gunslinger Hunter with the reload perk and stability perk help it a lot. But I really think that either the clip needs to be enlarged (by like 2x) or the DoT needs to be buffed (doing 2-3x more damage or lasts a lot longer or pops faster). The Thorn actually reminds me of how hand cannons were before they got a buff in the Beta. Perhaps the Thorn got passed over when they were buffing the rest of the hand cannons.

I love Thorn, but it's only really viable (like most exotics) when it's fully upgraded. I've been using it in the Iron Banner and it wrecks house. However, as some have said make sure you get some gauntlets which speed up reload, even with that perk the reload time is painful. Also make sure you use it's unique upgrade to your advantage. Don't go in guns blazing expecting to kill everyone. Depending if I headshot or not, I can kill most in PVP with 2-3 shots. Use cover, and if they are low pop a shot and walk away, the lingering damage will do the rest. ;)

2 답변작성자: AttackedDesert 10/10/2014 4:41:19 PMI love it, but it only has six shots ( which isn't really a problem) and a lengthy reload. I use gauntlets that speed up the reload of handcannons though. Bungie also said they will buff the Thorn soon too so it's going to be awesome sauce after that. I only play pve by the way. Haven't tried it in pvp.

I love it in pve, hand cannons are pretty much useless in pvp though, especially with suros out there. (Not bitching I use suros in pvp because it mauls people) but like dude said, thorn is getting a buff soon which I can't wait for.
