Leave this thread dead already for -blam!- sakes, it has fallen and and came back multiple times. Let it die, I'm tired of getting notifications on my phone because of this thread.

Out of the two game types (pvp and pve) I believe pvp is the most punitive. In pve you can go at your own pace. In pvp you have to deal with a number of issues that ruin the game experience. Generally speaking pvp should never provide gear equal to pve. Destiny pvp is very bad. Forcing players to be in this game type only loses money long term.

5 답변작성자: Ianferno 12/19/2014 3:00:46 PMI think PvE-heavy players should do Crucible every so often, in order to not be freakin' cowards. Take note that I have a terrible K/D (though it has been slowly inching up for the last month). That being said, I love doing the Crucible.

You aren't being forced to do anything. Vanguard gear is usually pretty damn good. There is nothing wrong with there being rewards that are exclusive to one type of activity. You PvE: you get PvE rewards. Simple as that. Frankly, I don't get this bizarre entitled mentality of players that say: "I don't pvp or I don't like pvp but I should just be given this gear even though I didn't do the activity associated with it." What's next? Are people gonna start crying about how they are being "forced" to do Crota's End in order to get Necrochasm and raid gear? -
1 답변It's so frustrating now that the material exchange has changed. Before, it offered PvE a chance to get faction gear... I've never been a PvP fan in any game. Why should i change that now?

2 답변On topic: no. There's simply not a reasonable split between PvE vendor gear and PvP vendors, the latter getting around 80% of gear to purchase. Faction gear is PvP because Bungie wants to push people into PvP, not because of inherent qualities. Pushing players into Crucible is fine; being so heavy-handed in keeping them there after they've tried it isn't, especially with regular level cap raises rendering old gear obsolete. On a tangent: Bungie never responds to or acknowledges these threads, despite how common they are. They've cut out PvE events from rotation for the past two months, and they've added a new PvE vendor in Iron Banner. They've removed the material farming option. This strongly suggests they don't care what many of the users want and will never address the issue. They've evidently tied the success of this game in the long-term to Crucible, and are willing to leave PvE players behind despite rhetoric in the lead-up to launch. I think that's a terrible decision, and so do many others here, but it's their game.

17 답변Should PvP players be "forced" into patrol missions to get upgrade materials for their gear? If you don't want to play the Crucible and are willing to forgo and weapon bounties, level up you're Vanguard rep and you need never step into the Crucible. But you can't have all the game' stewards and only play *part* of the game.

Your poll is such a damn failure. You won't be working in any office with numbers. Isn't it obvious that the majority of the people playing Destiny are PvE players? Your question is something that they all want to benefit from. Ofcourse they would say yes. Cause its easy and dont have to deal with BS in Crucible. /end thread

1 답변I can see both sides, but the main point is that they should have never taken farming out of the game by removing the material trade for marks from the quartermasters. Honestly if you want to farm have fun and do it, and if you want to play Crucible, have fun and do it, but there was no reason for them to remove the option from the game.

1 답변I think Crucible makes no sense :D.. The story talks about the darkness coming closer and going to annihilate everything and Guardians have nothing to do rather then killing each other :D
-
2 답변I think bungie is lame for forcing me to do the crucible for a exotic bounty, i hate crucible and never play it. So its taking me days just to unlock one weapon. Ef bungie!

You don't "have" to play PvP to get faction gear. Collect materials. Turn it in for crucible marks. Buy gear. Stop complaining. They put in a simple way for you to get your gear without doing PvP and you are neglecting it. No update/patch necessary.

3 답변I'm tired of hearing about this, honestly. Don't like pvp? Accept it and move on, please. Get another gun. You don't have to be insanely good to get the pvp stuff done, it just takes time and patience. There are a couple bounties that don't require pvp. Earn your gear through vanguard or something. Also, you don't need to do crucible for crucible gear. Find a good material farming route and hand it materials.

It's weird how you use faction class gear (mark, cape, band) to gain rep with the factions but doing vanguard quests but still need PVP marks to buy the items. Doesn't make sense to me But if they change this, they'll need to change the weekly limit of marks you can get.

3 답변작성자: IgnorantSolid 10/8/2014 3:45:23 PMWhat you are missing is the fact that the whole reason for the crucible is the factions. You think Guardians just get together to fight for fun? You are supposed to choose your faction and represent them against players from other factions. If you hover your cursor over the crucible game types you will see that each one has a "faction sponsor". That is why it takes crucible marks to buy their gear
