The thing that gets me, is that the game was advertised as having a story, at the very least, a universe that felt alive, there is no such thing offered. Another thing is, I enjoy the gameplay, and alot of the ideas behind destiny, especially that lore that is completely unused to tell a story worth mattering, I don't want to see Destiny flop, the bad reviews and negative feedback is enough for me to assume this game isn't going to be making a franchise any time soon, so all of what Bungie said may indeed never get to happen....
I don't know, it's pretty frustrating, without a decent story though, this game has nothing keeping it afloat besides it's gameplay, which will keep a good few people interested, but it will never be what it was meant to be, and it's only matter of time for the people that enjoy the gameplay to move on to something else that offers newer, and maybe even better gameplay experiences, it is not gameplay that keeps players invested in a franchise, it is the story, and the community... Destiny desperately lacks both.
Its just the beginning. You'll get your chance to see the unfolding of Destiny's story... only $35... and that too won't be enough. You'll probably spend way WAAAAY more over the years to get the entire story
