I do not see why a group of strangers cannot work well to beat these so called extremely difficult mission. This system is simply making people go away from destiny.

5 답변작성자: doomshaman 10/2/2014 9:22:37 PMI completely agree with the OP. I have said this before... The random matchmaking needs to be implemented for all the missions like heroics and raids. To the try hards out there keep in mind that random matchmaking doesn't come in place if you already are in a party, so think before you speak... If you don't want to be randomly matched then make your own party before starting the raid or strike. It's a choice that the players should be able to make. The future of Destiny to become either the next big thing or just a hype to fade away depends on being able to target and cater to the entire community and not just to the try hard buddy-buddy system. The community includes a lot of casual and role players, some people are just too busy to maintain clan obligations, or have a PSN/Microsoft social life, or to match times with the friends and so on, some people are disabled, there all ages and it's universal where people are speaking different languages and in different time zones etc. Bungie should be listening to all customers feedback and the key is not to force anything on the players but to implement options to keep as many players as possible happy. There should be options for hardcore gamers as well as casual gamers and everyone else. Options like random matchmaking, in game chat and party, options for disabled people and language barriers otherwise denying services will eventually limit their player base. P.S. It's funny to see some comments below suggesting that instead of making the thread to use the time and actually go and find a party. You are suggesting to waste time outside the game in the forums or other sites to find a party instead of playing the game and have an in game feature like random matchmaking that would automatically do the same thing. Fail logic. There is no reason not to have a random matchmaking. Let's say you have a party of 5 and need 1 more guy instead of going in the forums or fireteam finder the random matchmaking will automatically evaluate the team and will find you 1 guy that will best match your team. If you have a full party the random matchmaking will not affect you at all. Funny thing, random matchmaking let's you do anything you want, you can still go your old ways and make the party anyway you like because the random matchmaking does not interfere with a full party. Random matchmaking doesn't force anything on anyone, it's just an option for anyone else that wants to use it. Honestly just looking at the people that speak against random matchmaking, the arguments against it are just pathetic, they either don't understand it or have some ulterior motives.

13 답변작성자: Bicepus Maximus 10/10/2014 10:34:11 PMThe devs have addressed this topic. Matchmaking is a horrible idea. For every complaint from idiots who are to stupid to find a group they will have 100s of new complaints if matchmaking is implemented for content as difficult as the raid. The end result, only logical conclusion, is a huge nerf to raid difficulty to accommodate a team of one 8 year old, a guy who hates mics, one dude who yells, and the rest who die a lot and after dieing leave forcing the group to wait for matchmaking to assign another guy who can only play for five minutes to be replaced by another guy who disconnects to then have the 8 year go to bed so now you need to get three new people who do not have mics and will not coordinate anything. 20 hours later when the first boss is not dead the dude who died once and left starts 5 threads crying for a nerf to raid content which is supported by a post from the 8 year olds mom who is upset because little Johnny cried and wet the bed which is then supported by a new group of people who think it is unfair content requires mics in the first place.... It never ends. Find a group on the forums or in game and stfu.

Well especially with the strike because you really really don't need a team for them. Nightfall/weekly strikes should me no different from the other strikes. I don't like finding a party for raid either but that's how Bungie envisioned raids and it is sopped to be sort of an MMO which always have party quests. I just think it puts a little hiccup in the immersion, you have to stop having fun to find a group of people to play with you, it especially makes two game suck if you can't find any body.

What should happen is once you've cleared the first boss fight and you've made it to the Jump Phase, those players should unlock matchmaking for the Raid. By then you understand what it takes to participate in the Raid. Those player matchmaking with you are familiar with the process and now it's allowing those hardcore Raid players a chance to come back and tackle end portion at later date with others. Becuase honestly even with a Clan you're never with all the same people twice, as it seems to me anyways.

Here's an example of people communicating now http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/72439529/0/0 A thread looking for players to join immediately. Just trying to help you out here. You can search in threads and find people willing to join up for raids at any given time.

If we have it or not we are still playing with strangers. I ran it every week and not once have I played through it with the same guys. Not even one person has been the same. Completely different line ups. I really don't see how it would differ.

7 답변Rather than matchmaking, there should be some kind of message board (in the game) in the tower where people looking for the same kinds of missions could post. You should be able to invite them directly from the message board, and inspect their character to ensure they're adequately equipped. Players could post what they're looking to do and form groups from there. It would bring a little social aspect to the tower, that is currently missing. But, matchmaking for these difficult missions, on its own, is just asking for problems/griefers/trolls.

22 답변Everytime this gets brought up, I ask this... Neverminding what Bungie is doing... If you can make a thread complaining about matchmaking Why can you not make a thread requesting people to join you on Strikes and Raids?

I wouldn't really go so far as to call Bungie stupid. Their reasons make sense on paper and in an ideal world, it would work just fine. Granted it has become extremely obvious this is not a perfect world and this system does NOT work as Bungie intended. Honest mistake on Bungie's part. Still would be in favor of them fixing it ASAP.

5 답변I dont want to be matched up with people who dont want to work in a team together. Somebody who has terrible weapons and cant hold their own. People who just stamd their afk or jump off the map everytime just to troll the other players. It would all be terrible if the raid had matchmaking.

2 답변작성자: TheHighKnight 10/3/2014 6:46:03 PMI'd love matchmaking. I literally spent two hours last night trying to find a group for the raid using destinylfg, using a third party site on my phone plus psns broken chat and friend system is horrible. It's just a constant fight to even join a raid group. I never know if they got my message, maybe someone beat me to it, maybe they didn't like what I wrote, maybe PSNs chat is lagging horribly like it always does? Should I just be spamming? I guess so... A PuG could totally run the raid. It's actually really easy, easier than nightfall, it just requires know how. With only 6 players it wouldn't be that hard to eventually get a successful group. Plus if there was matchmaking, you'd have a lot more people with know how. I've run into tons of people who could be raiding who haven't yet because the lack of matchmaking is a pain. Plus, I've found plenty of complete crap groups on destinylfg. Actually 3/4 of my attempts had shit players, people who didn't listen, or people who had to quit after an hour. It was only #4 where i actually got a group with know how that I realized the raid is actually a piece of cake. Not having matchmaking doesn't do us any favors.

1 답변Two words. Strike freeloaders. They will love the matchmaking function. Sitting in the corner afk and watching tv while the other 5/2 players get me my exotics/legendaries/reputation is going to be a huge issue without proper kick/vote system which could be abused as well on the other side.
