People are jumping way out to the sniper perches on the templar fight and glitching this fight. Everyone is stacked so the relic can just cleanse and wait for super to charge while ignoring the oracles. The templar and his cronies do not shoot at you.
There are also players who take the shield and jump back up to the place where you spawn after a wipe. I would suggest placing invincible, OHK, melee mobs or a "turn back now" zone up there, as well.
Since so many of you are insisting that the templar or his mobs shoot at you from all but the farthest spot, or that this method takes too long, I decided to create a clip for you all. Once the relic holder is on the platform, the boss stops shooting. You can see the harpies sitting there not shooting, although they have a clear line of sight to me. The fight lasted for about 3:30 after the shield was taken. https://vid.me/6YY
Edit::: It looks like the October 14th update will take care of this. Thanks, Bungie!
To all of those below who can't tell the difference between an exploit and a strategy, I told you so.

1 답변What you don't realize is that people are still so stupid that they wipe for hours doing this.

Are you a five year old kid trying to tattle to the teacher? Lol. This is kind of ridiculous. Let people play the game. They can only get loot from the fight once a week, its not like they're farming or exploiting something that is actually something broken in the game.

3 답변Not really sure they count it as an exploit; because if they do, it isn't just this. The Eye of the Gate Lord quest is actually even worse. You summon the gate lord, and at the very back there is a ledge. There is also a pillar there, that just so happens to be tall enough for you to jump onto to then reach the ledge. From there you can snipe across the map at the boss's soft spot, maybe add a rocket or two if you were low of special ammo. Boss dies and you take no risk or damage whatsoever. I did this when soloing my first time through, since I was AR and sniper rifle happy. And there were many other maps that also had helpful places to get you to a nice snipe spot. So just the precedent being set in the normal playthrough where they give you ways to reach a safe happy snipe spot, I wouldn't doubt that the Templar Snipe spot was intentional as well. And even if they do remove it, it'd just cause people to use the 4th chest bypass tunnel to skip the boss fight and continue on to the gorgon maze. So they already have an "exploit" in game, to get around any fix to the snipe spot "exploit" already in game. That said I hate using the snipe spot method. It is long and boring. People need to come equipped with decent weapons and actually try thinking. Heck, most people act like he teleports at random. They never bothered to play or think, and don't realize you can control his teleports to force him into the right hand corner near player spawn, which is pathetically easy to then stop his teleports completely and waste him in no time.

1 답변So a mechanic that cleanses, allowing you to miss oracles. And a platform that the enemy can use to snipe you from distance. Using the two together is what passes as an exploit now? Get over it. Legitimate tactic.

5 답변They should spawn a Pretorian on the ledge every now and then, that would liven it up a bit!
