Took some time to read but I think you got your point across. In the end for some reason males see females as "kitchen maid" or a "damsel in distress" with the amount of times they repeat themselves without thinking with their brain.
Treat a female gamer as you would any other friend online. You will actually have a laugh which is a big difference than trying to be the jackass of the group or the white knight being over protective .
In the end chill out that a female is playing.
Count to 5 before throwing sexist insults out.
Treat them like a human not an object.
Have a laugh.

Pretty much. In any case, when I'm wandering in a patrol mission and a public event starts, or I blind-matchmake into a strike I have no idea who/what that avatar on the screen looks like behind the controller. And you know what? I really don't care. As long as your guns are firing and you occasionally revive my ass when I get dumb and try to melee a strike boss (!) I don't care what you look like or what chromosomes you were born with, I'm happy other Guardians are shooting at the same shit I am.

Yeah. I know there's a lot of back and forth about the chat and grouping isolation in this game (I for one do hate how hard it is to get a cohesive group for a specific mission when I need help, and that's only worse as I get into the endgame) but it creates a sort of unique experience when a bunch of silent mysterious strangers show up in an event firefight or revive you when you are down, and then disappear into the void. WHO WAS THAT MASKED GUARDIAN? Who knows. I've made some interesting leaps so far -- I added a random to a strike group who was like a 12 year old kid who knows his stuff and doesn't fit the stereotype of a "child screaming into a mic" and was a huge help to play with. People can surprise you. I know this is kind of off-topic from the OP but I suspect that the current voice chat approach may have had a positive side-effect in people generally being more helpful and chill towards each other. Mainly because a lot of the shit she described in her post can be avoided in this game, by design.
