Throwing knife needs a buff for sure. It should be a oneshot like Titan's shoulder charge. It takes skill to use, unlike the Titan.
I also think they should eliminate cast animations for both supers and allow us to attack immediately. There are so many times that a golden gun shot or arc blade could have saved my life, if only I could instacast and attack right away.
Titan's super is instant and cannot be stopped. Hunters can die during our super and have to build it from scratch afterwards.

작성자: mrwazzabi 9/29/2014 12:57:18 PMThrowing knife is not simple. It has a high chance to miss on strafing targets. Shoulder charge is an instant melee kill. All you have to do is be close, like any melee attack. And yes, I have used Titan before.

Remove cast animations from Arc Blade and Golden Gun? Yeah that's the worst idea I've heard. So what, your Golden Gun will just somehow appear in your hands? And you're just gonna instantly pull out your knife and it's going to be charged without focusing energy? No. Throwing Knife is fine as it is. Just get better with it. The Titan Shoulder Charge is a close range attack, while Throwing Knife is a thrown weapon that insta-kills from a headshot. And Gambler's Dagger would make it almost like the Golden Gun. And then there's the ability that extends Golden Gun duration with Throwing Knife kills. That's too OP.

Moron the knife requires skill and amazing skill at that, while the shoulder charge is a 'hello there, how are you- BLAM' kind of ability that requires no more skill then being close. It definitely needs a buff, because the shoulder charge is an instant kill, even with full health. But the throwing knife needs preparation, if there was no damage dealt before the throwing knife, you'll just set your self up for an assist. If I decide to use the Golden Gun or Arc Blade while in a shootout, not only am I wide open, but if a titan were to use the Striker's special or the warlock's Viodwalker's special they can stop that at point A, while I'm stuck in a cast animation, looking extremely stupid. You sod off.

Have you ever used a titan? Everyone needs to stop whining about their class. Every super has a delay and every class takes a degree of skill to use. If you think the trowing knife doesnt have enough range its probably because it goes in an arc which means learn how to predict its path to get headshots from a distance. To even use shoulder charge you have to get a running start and you only have about six seconds to use it before it goes away and you have to retry. Fist of havoc isnt instant. The only way it comes close to being instant is by using it when standing still. If you have headstrong you can eadily ovrtshoot your target and running before using it makes you vulnerable in mid air. The targeting for death from above is hit and miss depending on how high in the air you are and how far away your target is. Ward of dawn also usnt an insta cast. No super in the game is instant. We all have advantages and disadvantages. Suck it the -blam!- up and if you have a problem with your class, shut the -blam!- up and make a new one instead of crying for a buff on the forums. It's that simple. We can all one shot each other with our supers (excluding ward of dawn) and all of the melee abilities have drawbacks so everyone get over it.

작성자: Wildfire Blake 9/29/2014 2:09:11 PMI don't care if they buff it or not. The only real skills I really use are the jumping, the grenades and the melee over ride, and I do perfectly fine. I was thinking we seemed a little underpowered and stated my own opinion.

Throwing knife doesn't instakill with a headshot. This has been tested. "Just get better at it?" I'm pretty good at using the throwing knife, but you can't say the same about shoulder charge. You can't get better at it because it takes no skill to use.
-
Yet shoulder charge can be dodged, just like Throwing Knife. I've done both of these things repeatedly. It isn't hard unless you're trying to shotgun them. And you just need to get the enemy's shields down enough where it insta-kills upon headshot. That's how I get 99% of my throwing knife headshot insta-kills. It's hard to use at a range, but it's easy to use up close, just like Shoulder Charge.
Shoulder charged can only be dodged if you know it's coming. But it's instantaneous.
You say this as if you can see a throwing knife coming. You know you're going to be shoulder charged if a glowing titan runs at you. A throwing knife is pretty hard to see until it hits you in the face. Especially since the an8mation is quick and the flaming ones aldo deal DoT so once you've been hit its basically gg same as shoulder charge.
-
It would be hard to see a throwing knife coming since the animation is the same as throwing a grenade. I don't know why people complain about Throwing Knife. It requires skill to use, yes, but it can be mastered rather quickly.
-
Im not complaining about it. It doesnt really bother me. I was comparing it to shoulder charge because this guy was acting like it is underpowered compared to shoulder charge and i say they are on equal footing in terms of utility

I must be the only one who plays that doesn't find shoulder tackle to be all that helpful. The "wind-up" on it is quite long so you need to start sprinting at someone from fairly far away; if you're in the open you'll likely die before reaching them. If you try to sprint around cover or through a doorway it is typically difficult to land since your turning radius while sprinting is complete shit. I've rarely been hit with a throwing knife so I don't know enough about it to comment on it as a skill, but golden gun and the blade dance super have ended my life an obscene number or times. I think the best part of these supers is that they can easily be used to kill multiple enemies that are a good distance apart. With a Striker or Voidwalker super getting a double kill is pretty lucky since enemies don't typically group too much unless you're in control or salvage. As far as I'm concerned agility is the second best stat in crucible with toughness being first. When I run titan I take maximum agility and toughness with as little recovery as possible.

The best way to use Shoulder Charge is to ALWAYS be charging into the fray essentially. Don't let the opponent relax, never hesitate, just get in there. Even if you get taken out you can't stop, because that just means they win. Get in there. Also be wary of open spaces, Titans thrive in mid to small areas IMO. As well, to OP of this part of the thread, Shoulder Charge is a completely different melee skill from Storm Fist (which the Throwing Knife is the Hunter version) Making the Throwing Knife insta kill would make it unbalanced in prespective to ALL OTHER class melee abilities, including the bladedancer melee.
