Thorn, The controversial Gun
People dont like it because its weak. Dont like it because the bounty is hard
Its meant for the skilled, those who are worthy. Only few can see its true potential. Others might have it, but they only see it as a gun
What do you think of the Thorn?

Nah bro...not saying it can't be used in PVP and PvE, but it is getting a buff so it does have deficiencies. Same goes for Bad Juju...I've been successful with it, but it just doesn't have enough rounds in the mag.

I love the Thorn. I feel I have truly earned this weapon. I have also just upgraded the Mark of Devourer perk on it and can't wait to try it out in both PvP and PvE. It's easier for me to get headshots with this than with a scout or sniper rifle. Can't wait for the buff though so it can be on par with the Hawkmoon and Last Word. Hoping for more capacity. I will still like this gun though.

I really like thorn for pvp. One on one it recks especially with the hunters gunslinger. Chain Of Woe AND Gunslingers Trance Make Hand Cannons Very powerful. Thorn is out classed as soon as you are in a 2v1 confrontation though. The dot is very weak and is not much help and the low mag and impact make it very difficult to defeat both.

6 답변My "devil you know" craps all over the thorn. I want te thorn to be good but it's not. That's why they said they will be buffing the thorn soon. Thorn just can't compete with the "Devil you knows" 12 round mag and incredible range and accuracy. I 3 shot people in crucible with that beast. I have over 8k kills with it. So keep convincing yourself it's good when it's not. It's the coolest look gun but it is totally lacklustre and bungie has even admitted that is crap.

As it stands my blue regulator is easily twice as good as thorn with nearly double the impact, double the reload speed, and double the clip. Edit: I have thorn. I completed the bounty so that I could retire this hand cannon.... But a viable replacement it is not.

No this really isn't up for debate. It's clearly just worse than just about all other eoxtic/legendary handcannons. I own it, the last word and I've had a few others. it just doesn't stand up to them, hence why they're buffing it.

If you want an amazing hand cannon, Devil You Know is the gun for you. Hand Cannons are hampered mainly by reload speed so bigger mags are their main DPS increase. Maybe Hawkmoon is better than Devil You Know but I don't have it. For comparison, my Devil You Know (DYK) does more damage per magazine than Altheon's Epilogue (vog void primary AR). It unloads its mag in about the same time. It is more accurate. Mine has the nifty "chance to refund round directly to mag on enemy kill" which is fabulous when each of my shots kills the weaker enemies. If I add to that that Hand Canons have the best enemy flinch value for primaries and the nifty bonus of killing hobgoblins in one shot (so no solar shield), I honestly think DYK might be the best primary in the game.

Love the Thorn for PvE. It's not the poison that makes it good. It's the overpenetration. There is no damage penalty for the second or third (or fourth) guy you hit, and it will poison all of them as well. Yeah, against a single target, most other hand guns are better. But if you have to fire into a crowd? Thorn all day e'ry day.

I hate hand guns, but took this bounty last night, because I have one of the weapons it offered, and I have a toon on the other. At least I'll get a card and more energies after I have it. Didn't realize I'd have to pvp in it. Another bounty I may fail :(

I have it and I loved it. My favorite gun in the game and hated hand guns before I used it. Then I used suros and I see how weak Thorn is and that it is one of the worst exotics but can't wait for it's buff to start using again.

2 답변I love thorn I go positive in most games I can 3 shot anyone without even needing the poison damage if one of the shots hit the head and can 3 hit body shot kill with the poison because after 3 hits they have so little health that they die from the poison in in half a second I'm not going to explain just how many situations this is good for. The gun just takes more skill to hit the shots with.
