First of I'd like to say that I thoroughly enjoy the game, even though it has its fair share of flaws at the moment.
I was pleased to see Bugnie discuss the nerfing of the shotgun and assault rifles in an upcoming patch, however I noticed the Bladedancer super was not even mentioned. This ability overpowers literally every other super there is by a large margin.
Unless you don't possess opposable thumbs or have some sort of handicap you should get at least 3 kills with this super, averaging about 4.
Let's talk about the other supers first. All the other supers can be killed as any other after they used it.
A warlock performing Nova Bomb is essentially invincible for maybe a second but he can be killed right after, same with the titan's Fist Of Havoc. The hunter's Golden Gun and the warlock Radiance can be damaged as they normally would while they're using it.
However the Bladedancer takes this to a whole other level. You are almost invincible throughout the entire use of this super.
It survives rocket launchers as well as point blank shotguns. You can kill it with at least 3-4 people shooting it simultaneously but often the Bladedancer manages to kill all players in that time. You can literally activate this super in a fight you're about to lose and you will win.
The only way you will die is if someone else uses their own super.
Combine the fact you have extremely fast movement, very long range melee lunges and being almost invincible during the entire time and you have an extremely overpowered ability.
It is blatantly obvious how unbalanced this super is and I'm terribly disappointed that it was not even mentioned in the upcoming nerf update.
I have bolded some lines for the "special" people here.

작성자: williamjr27 10/21/2014 3:22:13 PMJust wanted the myth bust your bs through exp last night. I was on a control point and heard a super get activated so I threw my blade dancers grenade. In rushes a blade dancer in his super, right as he lunges I pop him in the face with my shotgun. Point capped. Blade dancer dead. Now if a titan ran in I probably would not have thrown my grenade and I would've been smashed by foh and the control point would've been lost. Blade dancer=easy kill if your not a scrub and know how to adapt. #scrubs #nonerf #adapt #feedback #quitcrying

First, Well it's a super, as the name implies (unless you don't know what super means) you should be able to waste a few if not the whole team using it. Two, if your team is all bunched up other classes can kill most of a team fairly easily. Finally, you must be a terrible shot if bladedancers survive your "onslaught" of fire. I regularly kill them with just my auto rifle. Don't be a bitch, if you don't like the game don't play it.

I disagree completely and I play as Titan all the time. The Fist of Havoc, Golden Gun, and Nova Bomb can all beat the Bladedancer, ending their streak or not letting them get a kill at all. At the same time, Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb can miss their targets, but they can't have their super stripped of them, while blade dancer can. However, Blade dancer has a higher chance of continue a streak since it can't really "miss" as you pointed out, but it can be taken down. Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb literally can't be taken away, if they are killed before it shoots, then they respawn with it still available. That's the balance, and there is more to it than that. That's just the start :) This is all coming from a person who has been killed by blade dancer several times, but I've been killed by everything a lot of times :) So I think it's pretty balanced.

2 답변You're not at all invincible as a blade dancer, you just move fast and avoid hits well. There's hardly any noticeable dmg mitigation when I blade dance. Same goes for gunslinger minus the movement speed

I'd like to say that I'm a hunter and have used the Bladedancer quite a bit and I'd like to say that you're false about the invincibility and the how quick it takes to start the super. I've gotten killed by people with shotguns, fusion rifles, rockets and machine guns fairly easily while using the super. The damage taken is reduced but not to the point of near invincibility. I've been killed and have killed other bladedancers with melee attacks after just taking a couple of shots from an assault rifle or one shot from a shotgun or fusion rifle. The super takes a second to activate (like every other super in the game) and you still take the normal amount of damage from enemies until the super is fully active, and your health doesn't regenerate to full health immediately after activated, so you still have the same amount of damage. So if you were in a fight that you're losing and needed to use the super, you would still die if the enemy still has a line of sight and is firing at you if you activate it. The reason why they might seem invincible is because there is an upgradable ability where you regain health if you kill someone using the super, so the health regenerates immediately after the kill ( I personally think that's a little OP too of that's what you meant by almost invincible), But the majority of blade dancers I've versed (including myself) don't use this upgrade. The reason why this class seems OP is because it's best used in close quarter combat (which most of these maps capitalize on), but if used in an open environment, the blade dancer would mostly be annihilated. Honestly I'd hate to for this class to be nerfed because it would virtually useless in PVE, because it cause almost no damage to enemies my level.

Id have to disagree as a bladedancer hunter I've been killed by a few shots and a single (OP as F***) warlock punch The bladedancer has a short time span, can only kill one at a time, and is like useless if you're a warlock and decide to float for a bit. Tho it does strengthen your defence I believe it is balanced If theres something that needs patching its the warlocks punch then insta shields like thats way OP for pvp

Hate to spoil your thread, but three times this morning I got pwnd on crucible after activating my dancer. Never got one hit in. We still take damage when it is activated and can't use it like a panic button unlike the other classes percs can

1 답변Blade dancer, golden gun and fist are all broken in PVP. The bubble is just annoying. Nova bomb is not great unless youre out in the open. Only then is it good. Fireborn is broken in PVE. Everything is broken somewhere. Nerf fusion rifles.

5 답변Please hop off the pve people will suffer so bad i love blade dancer but it does NOTHING in pve to the point where i use gunslinger now which still does NOTHING

1 답변When you see a Titan smash in front of you, your dead. When you see a warlock lift in the air, you're dead. When you turn a corner and see a hunter glowing, you're dead. When you see a blade dancer down the hall coming toward you, you haul ANUS toward the other direction. Your attempt at killing him is only giving him a free kill supers give.

2 답변Has no one realized that Bladedancer's weakness is arc damage? Kind of like an arc shield on a PVE enemy? No? Okay...

2 답변You should be able to clear a room with it, thats it. Not kill the entire team twice.

1 답변Omfg how many 10 y/o are going to cry about BD they're easy to kill for anyone with half a brain

You're wrong in my opinion because the bladedancer only gets +50% health so a shot to the head with a scout rifle and then a burst with a fusion rifle is enough to kill someone. Also you must've missed your rocket because heavy ammo in the crucible can overpower everything. A direct hit from a rocket or at least within a couple feet will kill a bladedancer.
