Completed - Looking for help for Exotic Weapon Bounty - Thorn

I'm currently working on the "A Light in the Dark" Bounty. I Believe this is the last task for Thorn and I need 1-2 people for a level 26 strike on the summoning pits with an epic modifier(More enemies. More shields. More yellow.), without killing Phogath. The goal is to survive the minion waves until another unique enemy spawns. The long version... [spoiler]I was in the middle of Vangaurd rank 2 completing bounties when our friendly postmaster robot gave me a lead. This lead was for an exotic weapon and gave me three choices. I chose "A Light in the Dark". Task #1: Complete "The Summoning Pits" Strike on the moon. Simple enough and was soon completed. This unlocked the second task: "Depleted Hand Cannon" Harvest the energies of the Hive on the Moon to activate the weapon. This task required 500 kills and took about 2 1/2 runs through Hellmouth. Another simple task and finished fairly quick. Task #3: "Depleted Hand Cannon" Use Void Damage to defeat Guardians in the Crucible. Death will slow your progress. This one wasn't difficult so much and slow and annoying. Every kill grants 4-5 points and every death subtracts 2 to a goal of 500. I only had a fusion rifle and machine gun with Void on them and ran into 90% Shotgun/Melee Warlocks sitting in corners but this isn't a rant topic. Task #4: "Corrupted Hand Cannon" Bring the Hand Cannon to the Speaker. Task #5: "Corrupted Hand Cannon" Cleanse yourself and the weapon with an infusion of Light. Trade the Speaker a Mote of Light for the infusion of Light. Task #6: "(not sure forgot to take a picture)" Bring the hand cannon to Ikora Rey the Warlock Vanguard. Task #7: "Corrupted Thorn" Kill Xyor, the Unwed in a new Strike that appears to the right of the old Summoning Pits Strike. It says you cannot kill Phogath and must wait through the minion waves for Xyor to spawn. The Strike is level 26 with an Epic Modifier: Heavily Shielded and highly aggressive enemies appear in great numbers. I ran to the boss on solo where I hit a wall while the enemies danced on my corpse... multiple times. The modifier didn't seem to change the density much but almost every wizard was an elite and about half of the knights were also elites and some of the cursed thralls. Every non-elite knight also got a shield that absorbs 2 shots in the head from my Ice Breaker Sniper Rifle before being able to take down their health. Unshielded they are 1 shot kills. Personally I like this system of difficult quests to earn an item instead of RNGesus being our only savior. What are your thoughts?[/spoiler] EDIT: Svvordartonline and a friend of mine helped to complete it. Two extended invis hunters and another acting as a spawn point if we both went down which surprisingly only happened once. Stats are 260/300 with 6 round mag. rounds pierce and cause lingering damage and the last round causes bonus damage.
