1- or 2-shot Shotguns and Fusion Rifles?
In the Crucible, players will sometimes kill me with a Shotgun or Fusion Rifle in only one shot, but it almost always takes me two. I think I've gotten maybe only one or two one-shot kills with a Fusion Rifle. Is there some secret to this, like aiming for the head or having a high Impact attribute? Or is it just luck?

My average K/D has increased significantly. It really sucks that this game is more about having better gear by chance than outplaying your opponents.

Fusion Rifle kills in a shot I get. That's normal. But yeah, some people have been wrecking me with shotgun kills in one shot, and it usually takes me two. The only thing I can think is that my health/shields aren't fully restored (though I don't think that's the issue), or that they have the mod of "when aiming, shot is more focused/lethal) which makes sense. But yeah, that started happening today. It's rough out there.
