I think for pvp hunters are good but their abilities are no where near as good as a nova bomb or the fist of havoc and that's where hunters lose out for me
I can't believe all this hate on the hunters. Coming from a skilled player that leveled all classes to 8, the hunter is slightly superior in pvp. The jumping is far more controllable and my defense for leve 8 was 158 not far behinde the titan. The titans fist of havoc is only good for that one game time we were playing. Think about people not being grouped around flags..
Mostly ive learned to be spread apart greatly and see all possible cover and use some while also trying to be on the part of the zone with least or no entrances closest to you or at least be facing the entrance from the side out of their pov so hopefully when trying the super you can hopefully avoid it when capturing a point and exit the zone if a titan or warlock gets in sight and dont look away until the super has at least been used and try not to be the bullet sponge of your teammates in your area. But whenever a warlock aims his super at me even when anticipating it i have never been able to avoid it, does anyone know how? I usually double jump as they get in the air pulling their arm back and it looks as if it missed me but then immediately die
Honestly it just depends on the situation, Hunters are great at taking care of single targets or even small groups at times. but warlocks provide that much need control of the battle field with AoE attacks and DoT's that hunters just cant dish out in fast enough succession. Titans on the other hand are good for group sweeping, while warlocks control and maintain a battle field. The Titans Dominate It. smashing enemy groups with brutal charges and earth shaking attacks leaving enemies disoriented or dead. In a proper team of 1 from each class, the warlock would set up the battle field to control enemy movements while the titan would crush any stragglers all the while so that the hunters can dish out heavy single target damage on enemy commanders leaving only the weaker ones remaining for the other 2 to finish off.
But if a hunter gets rushed alone by a large enough group of enemies he will go down, or if a titan is forced into long range combat were his super is useless and his guns(if he's unlucky enough) cant reach will meet the same fate. Warlocks will suffer from enemies that can move freely enough that his super and grenades can't handle will be hard pressed on his own to deal with enemies that can move fast and are decently armored.
What happens when the whole enemy team is trying to take a flag:
Hunter - *Pulls out Gold Gun, misses all three shots*
Titan - *Smashes all six and dances on their corpses*
You people do know that all the classes of a PvP FPS are meant to be balanced right? Everyone excels in certain situations and falls short in others. You could also argue that sneaking around and waiting in a few key spots just outside of an objective (like I've seen most hunters do) is pretty lame and indicative of a player that can't win a fair showdown. Although a skilled player of any class will be mindful of that scenario. So anyone you kill like that is a noob.
But at any rate, I'm of the opinion that people that need to boast about how good they are at PvP are kinda sad. Just waving your virtual junk around cause your real one doesn't make you feel man enough? Sorry to hear that.
I'm all hunter. Forever and always.
But. Butt.
It IS nice when you have a Titan to come save my ass when Captains and Vandals are using me as a piñata.
Same with the Warlock I guess...
I just find it better to be appreciative of what I have, rather then trying to be the best and bash everyone else's face in...
Just saying...

Personal preference?
Hunter > Warlock > Titan. I like them all in terms of concept and appearance, though. I had a hard time choosing.
Effectiveness in combat?
Titan > Warlock > Hunter.
I still cannot for the life of me understand why people complain about the Hunter's super and the throwing knife. People seem to be forgetting one vital component to those things: aiming.
Precision shots require a lot of deliberate controller movement from the player. The Hunter's abilities are of no exception to this rule.
Though aiming the Golden Gun is easier than weilding a normal weapon, and is a one-shot, it doesn't change the fact that it does NOT have an area of effect-type OHKO. Not only that, but the Hunter is incredibly vulnerable when activating and using his super. Upon activation, he spurts his gun into the air, as if saying "FOR SPARTA!!!", and you don't get a defensive buff, either. You can easily waste it right then and there if someone kills you before you before you get to fire.
Also, if he doesn't see you while it's activated, you can easily mow him down or snipe him. I've done it many times, and have had it done to me many times.
You also have to aim it. I cannot stress that enough.
The throwing knife shouldn't be complained about. At all. You get throwing knifed in the head while mindlessly spraying AR at someone, that's either YOUR fault for not being mobile enough to dodge it, or the Hunter's "fault" for learning how to use it effectively. You also have to, wait for it...
aim it.
The Warlock is more understandable. The Nova Bomb does have area of effect-OHKO potential, but it also has a good "survival" range, too. More often than not, if not directly in the epicenter of the blast, you can strafe outside of its OHKO range.
It's also effected by gravity, so the bomb's trajectory tilts the farther you attempt to shoot it. Remember our key word from earlier, people? Yeah, it's obviously easier to aim than a weapon or the Golden Gun, but you still have to aim.
Not only that, but the Warlock has a "warning" indication before using the Nova Bomb with almost the exact amount of time as the Hunter's. And let's not forget: the Warlock is perfectly capable of killing his or herself with the Nova Bomb.
Needless to say, I don't usually get too mad when someone Nova Bombs me. They have to actively look at me and be aware of my presence and their potential chance of suicide-or at least, that's what I HOPE. Some people are pretty clueless...
Anyways, moving on to the Titan.
Where do I even start with you?
I feel like I have to knock back a few and get bluttered before I say anything.
k. FIRST, let's talk about his abilities-of which I have no issue with.
Class-exclusive abilities deliver a rock-paper-scissors kind of situation to games like these (but that's already been said before).
You're supposed to pick a class that appeals to your particular playing style. They're not good in EVERY situation, but only some-hence why you pick that class, so you can put yourself in those situations more frequently. The Titan's nades, armor over speed, and melee special attack are fine examples of little "specific situation" bonuses.
Besides the Fist of Havoc. Holy damn, that fist.

My friend fell asleep in front of the TV one night, and after booting him, I decided to play a couple rounds before bed. I thought I'd get a few yucks out of the games, so I decided to see how many matches I can go with unique players surrounding my Hunter being Titans.
Keep in mind, I backed out each time a game ended so I wouldn't get the same players.
I had 5 games consecutively before I saw the Warlock that broke the combo.
And for good reason.
First of all, I can't even capture a territory without worrying about one of the 6 Titans on the other team, usually someone that hat I've just killed,
scurrying back on a Sparrow and bringing his Fist of Havoc just for one person. Often times. the person doesn't even know my exact location. As long as they see a fully red indicator on the tracker, they let loose with it.
Fire and forget.
Sometimes, I'd get killed by someone who isn't even aware of me being in the area at all. They just see someone within 20 feet of them, use it, and become pleasantly surprised to see they've killed 3+ people unintentionally.
The above disadvantages do not apply to the Titan in any way. His activation-to-use time is significantly lower than the other two, and he does not possess a "hey, I'm about to use this" kind of thing that the aforementioned classes have. Well, it varies, depending on how far in the air he is upon using it, but this is alleviated by his defensive buff. The only real indication I get is when xXxn0ob420hUnt3xrXx decides he's tired of my shit and sprints directly at me. Sometimes I'm too preoccupied in combat to notice the little Titan. Other times, I notice him too late. And the rest of those times, I notice him just long enough to start shooting at him, only to be disappointing that me sniping him in the face, or shooting him with my Golden Gun wasn't enough to take him down on activation.
So yeah. I'm reluctant to consider a Hunter OR a Warlock a bigger threat than the rest of the people playing Titan on his team. If I have both in my crosshairs, I'm killing the Titan first. Easily.
It's so funny. Ppl hating on the hunter when obviously it takes no skill to use a titan. The hunters special takes time to charge, yes, but it's all about precision. We have a throwing knife. Once again precision. The hunter class is truly made for someone with a much higher level of skill. Oh you're a titan and you can smash the ground or punch me. Oh that's got talent written all over it. The way I see it the ppl who want to take the easy route out will choose the titan. Those who seek a challenge and want to better themselves will choose a hunter. And thee warlock is comparable to the titan. It's not as cheap playing as a titan but bother classes take little to no skill to use.
Longest throwing knife headshot included in montage.
- Ended his golden gun streak early.
Oh and I kill 4 people with 3 rounds of golden gun. Loving it.
