Personally I believe the game (Destiny) was meant to be enjoyed on the PlayStation 4, with its amazing graphics and superior quality, but that's just me. I have both next-gen consoles and I've noticed that the XBOX ONE makes a loud nice during boot up, probably because it has to work harder to render, not to mention the larger fan.
TL;DR
PS4 has better graphics, capped at 60 fps
Obvious choice for Bungie. Only machine capable of rendering such an amazing game
Edit 1: Thanks for the response guys. Obvious conclusion is that this game was meant to run on the SUPERIOR console: PS4- XBOX truly is weaker
Edit 2: XBONERS getting really mad. Hey, the stats don't lie!
Edit 3: From what I've been hearing, the situation goes like this:
XBOX ONE: 720p capped at 30 fps
PS4: 1080p native at 60 fps
PS3: 640p upscale to 720 30 fps
XBOX 360: 480 upscale to 720 30 fps
PS4 seems like the way to go so far until proven otherwise
Edit 4: receiving massive backlash from the community. What they don't understand is that Bungie purposefully said that it's at 30 fps across all platforms so the XBOX players would not be offended. The game was designed and built to take advantage of PS4 hardware, therefore it is capable of running at 60 fps solely on the aforementioned console.
Edit 5: Very heated debate I see. Questions coming from both sides. The thing is that Bungie did not want for one side to be left in the dust, so they just told everyone that it would be capped at 30 fps when it actually wasn't. 60 FPS PS4 confirmed. Check when booting up next time. You'll notice a small ticker
Edit 6: PS4 specs that suggest it can run, and does, Destiny at 60 FPS 1080p Native
CPU
Number of Cores/Threads: 8/8
Frequency: speculated to be running a base clock speed of 1.6 Ghz on a 2.75 Ghz capable chip
Shared L2 Cache: 2 x 2 MB
Manufacturing Process: 28 nm
Custom CPU for background processing such as downloading and recording gameplay.
GPU: AMD next-generation Radeon based graphics engine
Edit 7: this debate is getting very intense. Some players have even decided to bash the PlayStation community. I don't see why they would do that because this is ABOUT GRAPHICS COMPARISON and not some place for your complaints.
Edit 8: I've been receiving some very hateful messages, and yeah I get your frustration. The backlash has been tremendous but I've tried my best to clarify the situation; User xx_n1gg4bLazE_xx made it very clear to me that the community is unwilling to listen.
The point is; BUY BOTH CONSOLES-SEE FOR YOURSELF
Edit 9: finally some users have reported the difference between the two. Unfortunately YouTubers trying to upload video with a comparison, are limited to a 30fps cap, rendering the defense useless.
Edit 10: (UPDATE)- Thought this thread had died, but the community is still up for a healthy discussion. Receiving backlash from the community, don't know why, as for the 60fps cap on YouTube yes it has been raised, video however, will be difficult to see as it won't be the same as seeing it directly from the console itself. Graphics wise the two consoles are I guess on-par, with the limitation that PS4 renders Destiny at 60fps.

22 답변What a juvenile post to even start? Is this an attempt to validate your choice of console? Because that is basically what this sounds like. Any person with half a stem cell can tell you that there is no real identifiable difference in gameplay between the consoles of the same generation. the One and PS4 look more or less the same, and the 360 and PS3 look more or less the same. The rampant fanboism for the various consoles is rapidly becoming unbearable. A quick look at history will tell you that the "most powerful" console does not always "win". The PS1 was a sorry excuse for a console that went head to head with the Sega Saturn (a much faster CPU, better sound card, faster memory bus, and more accessible architecture) and outsold it 100:1one in the US. the same thing happened again with the Dreamcast and the PS2. The Dreamcast was the better device internally, and the PS2 outsold it my a landslide. Power has absolutely NOTHING TO DO wit the quality of the games you play. Consoles are not magic boxes that transform ideas in games. It takes a long development cycle to create games. too long it fact. It's gotten to be so difficult to write code for various bits of hardware that most people just don't. A small group of companies create and write engines - that are like open platforms where game makers can plug in variables to fill our their worlds and make their games. Those engines are created with cross-platform function in mind so they speak to a wide of hardware - meaning they excel at none. Here I could go into a lecture about the history of compiled vs interpreted languages and why they came about - but the end result simply that it is easier to code some thing mediocre that runs on everything than it is to code something masterful that is unique to one piece of hardware. In the late 80's and early 90's this was occurring on PCs. Pretty much everything was written for a few select processors (286, 386, 486, and on into the Pentiums). It got so bad that AMD cried to Uncle Sam about not being about to make a decent counter offer to the x86 platform and they ended up winning. Forcinng Intel to basically hand over decades of RND to the clowns at AMD could profit from their work. That mentality prevailed so it was no longer possible to write code for just one CPU - it had to be written for both - that way it could be sold to either one... more $$$. But since it was too much work to write code from scratch for two CPUs (instruction sets) they found it easier to just write one set of code for neither - that set of code would then have to be "interpreted" be each different piece of hardware. but the process of interpreting code is insane and eats away at basically all your PCU time, leaving very little left for executing your actual code. This is why modern PCs requires absurd video cards to play games. the notion of a video card is the most idiotic thing in the world to a reasonable coder. If games were written for say, the Intel i5 instruction sets - they could be the most fantastic games people have ever seen - but they're not. That i5 can do SO much more than it does. But because we write everything for shit like OpenGL, everyone has to buy massive, overpriced video cards that run hot, burn out, and die before their very short lifecycle expires and a new one is released just to keep pace. That basically killed PC gaming. Now the only games played on PCs are RTS and MMO. the only two that are basically dependent on their input method to play (mouse and keyboard). Here we are in 2014 and the consoles are repeating the same mistake. with each new consoles the OEMs are actually waging war against the developers. Sony makes a PS3, Microsoft makes the 360, and they both want to sell you consoles. But Joe Developer doesn't care which one you own, he wants to sell you his game. So he writes for the lowest common denominator and sells copies to everyone. There is no incentive to coders to write in assembly for the hardware on each system since it instantly cuts their demographic in half. If I write a game ONLY for the PS4, I have just lost 10 million potential customers on the Xbox One. And the reverse is true. The reality is that every difference that you think you're seeing between the One and the PS4 is your imagination or ego. Stop wasting everyone's time worrying about who has what console. Just understand that they'll both be outdated and crap in a year or two and MS and Sony will happily sell you a new console to beat your chest over.

3 답변superior graphics? none of thee above. I think the game overall is superior on the playstation for one reason and one reason only. Xbox went all retarded nintendo 64 / game cube knock off controller and put the controls in the wrong spots. apart from that they are the same, and some people actually enjoy that asbackward design... so its all in what you prefer.

I have both Xbox One and PS4. I downloaded the trial on my PS4 to compare it to Xbox One two days ago. Here's what I found: THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE. You could place both side to side and you couldn't tell which was which. That's pretty much it.

People who comment so defensively to spots like this come off as embarrassingly insecure. I don't own an Xbone so I can't speak for its prowess or ease of play, but the Ps4 handles great and if you have problems with the controller you should probably see a doctor cause you might have underlying issues. The point is, if you disagree with the proposition that Ps4 is superior to Xbox1 than you should simply say so, you don't have to attack every facet of the Playstation Eco-system cause you just sound like a douche

3 답변I have both systems and there is no difference in graphic at all. My ps4 is louder than my xbox one. Both systems are pretty sweet but I can do a lot more on the xbox one. I'm not a fanboy either, I own every playstation counsel and every xbox console.

2 답변There is literally no difference in graphics between the Xbox One, and PS4 versions. I have it on PS4, my brother has it on XB1. I cannot discern any real difference between the two, other than the button prompts.

3 답변I have an Xbox One, but I agree that PS4 has better graphics. Probably because of the better ram in PS4s.

3 답변This game is not meant for graphics... The graphics are terrible compared to several of other games that are already out. This is an MMO not a graphic type of game.
-
1 답변Every reputable review I've read says the graphics are almost identical, even with ps4 having better hardware. But most say the controls are smoother on Xbox one.

1 답변This thread is stupid. Who cares about the graphic, let's be more concerned about the unfinished game we paid for. Just trying to get attention by pissing off Xbot fanboys.
