When we're on Orbit... and we select a Mission or a Strike, we are given the option to do it "Normal" and "Hard" difficulties. So what if when we select Exploration... it had the option to turn PVP on in that single explore session? You could still go exploring like normal but have the tension that you might get attacked by a fellow player. You could go hunting or be sneaky about it. Now... remember I'm saying that it's an option, not an obligation. If you don't want to get attacked (or attack anyone) you can just as easy select the Exploration "Normal". We probably would need to change the way to go back to Orbit by just tapping the Triangle button or simply make people respawn far away from where they died. Should be easy to encode to. It's like activating friendly fire on. What do you guys think?
