Destiny's Hype?
[spoiler]Keeping the poll super basic, either you do, don't or you don't know.[/spoiler]
I've been asking this question a whole lot in the Mailsack, however I've never been featured or received a reply. Chances are, DeeJ probably never saw my comment. So instead, I thought I might ask the soon to be consumers of Destiny, you guys.
From what we have all seen thus far (which by the sounds of it, isn't too much) the community is pretty much split between the middle, one side being 'Destiny is going to be the best game EVAR' and the other being 'Destiny is going to suck!'.
What I'm asking is "[b]do you believe Destiny will live up to this hype it has built up over the past year or so?[/b]" obviously, I went to Bungie first as the employee's are the few who have touch it. How do you guys think it will cope? Just make your choice depending on what you've seen and how you feel about it at this point. Feel free to express your opinion on this because I'm genuinely curious as to what everybody's opinion is.
If you ask me, I feel that some people are taking in too much of what Moreconsole is saying about the game. He's a great guy, but I feel that he doesn't have many bad things to say about Bungie (nothing and nobody is perfect.) He has quite a biased perspective of the game because Bungie is giving him all these extra 'goodies'.

4 답변Its all in the gameplay video, it looked just like every other game I've been playing for a decade including cod halo borderlands and elder scrolls. The red hand cannon is literally copied from borderlands, at one point the dude throws a trowing knife from cod while aiming down the sights just before tossing a bouncing Betty from borderlands while a flowing robot ask the! To defend an area while he hacks a terminal. Would literally be a millionaire for the amount of times I've done this in a game . gameplay looked like frantic cod halo fusion with spells . nothing original or groundbreaking really just a reconfigured by the numbers shooter with OK graphics. Maybe the next gen of gaming will have something worth spending sixty bucks on

2 답변That's the thing; destiny WILL be either absolutely amazing, or be total crap. They built the hype up so much that there is no longer a middle ground. Destiny can't be a mediocre game. The gaming community has too much hope.

Its just as well too, he can be very mean! I think the customization aspect of the game will live up to the hype, the actual FPS action part is amazing! However, people are just overhyping it.

5 답변I don't care if it lives upto the hype. All I want is a minimum of 30 hours of gametime for my buck. If I get that game time and I have fun with my mates I will buy the next game to. When a franchise go's stale or produces a bad game ill still buy them but I wait for them to be in the bargain bin. This first game in the new series is very important. We shall see what we see (erk)

Honestly the hype hasn't gotten too bad, so at this point I'd say there would be no problem living up to it. In the run up to release when Activision will go mega overdrive on marketing, we'll see. Honestly though, I just haven't thought about it too much, Bungie is making it, therefore I will buy it.

6 답변I'm tired of the beta (demo) game they're playing. If it was truly a beta than it would of released by now. What we're getting is a demo? They won't have time to make changes before Destiny ships.

2 답변I think the game looks absolutely great. Personally I think a lot of people who say they're disappointed had unfair expectations, are unfairly whining about not knowing everything when Bungie was always going to keep stuff up their sleeve and or are mad Bungie doesn't seem to be making what they want.

2 답변I'm going to sound like a blatant fanboy in part of this reply, and I probably am one. Bungie has been making games for a rather long time so I have no doubt they'll deliver a good quality game. On the other hand, I do have some doubts about it. For example, I would really like to know if Destiny is going to have a splitscreen mode as I've got a family member I often game with.
