My personal questions and concerns regarding Split Screen and new concerns

Howdy. First off, like a lot of gamers, I enjoy split screen. There's nothing better than getting a group of people together and beating the hell out of each other over a few brews and trash talking in the spirit of good fun. With Destiny, i can see some problems arise with split screen just in the game design. Let me elaborate: We all know we'll be bringing our guardians from PvE to PvP, including all weapons and gear. Here's my concern: for the sake of PvP balance, how will a guest account play while keeping things balanced? In a lot of games, when you jump into PvP, gear and weapon load outs usually tend to be open to all players. Most weapons and gear are open to anyone to suit most styles of play (there are some exceptions, but for the sake of argument, let's say they are all open and equal). Pick your weapons, pick your gear, and go. In Destiny, we'll only have what weapons and gear we've picked up from our travels in the wild. What does that mean for guest players? Will they have access to the weapons and gear that the main account holder has (minus any currently in use by said account holder)? Depending on what the main player has accrued, that could make the guest players overpowered. Will they only have whatever weapons and gear all guardians start out with? Then they'll be struggling. In my mind, I just don't see how a guest account can be balanced well. That being said, I can see other Destiny accounts being able to log in so the guest players can use their own guardians from their own accounts, and I see that being the best option to keep things balanced. Whether it's a viable option or not, we'll have to wait and see what Bungie does about SS options, or if there'll even be an SS mode. PvE is much simpler to deal with. Guests can either sign into their own accounts and co-op with the main account, or sign in under guest and start from scratch every time, with no saved progress. How they would carry on, if they wanted to keep using the same toon every time would be a little more difficult, but that's a whole other bag of worms. My main concerns are with the PvP aspect of the game. What do you all think? How do you see SS happening while keeping things fair and balanced? Do you think there will be an SS option at all? I'd love to hear your thoughts. EDIT: also, what about foci (focuses)? That's going to be a tough one to keep balanced as well. Supers could be cause for major concern. EDIT 2.0: The only way I see it working while keeping things fair and balanced is not having a true guest account. The second player must already have an account linked to the platform in use (as in, if you're playing on someone else's PlayStation, you must have your own PSN/+ account, same for XB and XBL Gold) so that you can use any toons you may already have, or even create one that'll be saved so you can progress and earn gear and loot. EDIT 3.0: Another concern of mine is machine capability. This game is going to be graphically intense, to say the least, never mind the amount of info that'll be sent to and from the servers. I'm unsure if they'll (the consoles) will be able to handle it well. It could be that everything gets dumbed down a bit, i.e. graphics tuned down, render distance shortened, but it could still be a problem. Thoughts? EDIT 4: What's up Ch33zy?
